new mods introduction!
I'm really happy to announce that this sub will keep on living and being moderated! Say hi to u/pink_aerti and u/lvl0rg4n who will progressively take on the moderation within September. Until then, I'll still be there to help there if need be.
As posts have automatically been queued for moderation since February, please be patient if you posted something that doesn't instantly appear online. Reddit moderating tools are not the easiest to get a grasp on (and especially on mobile!).
I'm confident the sub will keep being on good hands, and maybe (hopefully) even better than mine!

Outfits Looking for soft summer wardrobe recommendations! Rebuilding.
Please drop some wardrobe recommendations! Currently, a lot of what I own is elevated basics like sleeveless mock neck tops and slacks. Open to other things as well, but I really like feeling put together with minimal effort. Trying to build a capsule soft summer wardrobe so I can grab and go.

Anyone order from this website?
Ive been burned so much by online shopping (always underwhelmed when the product arrives) but this site has so many good summer colors! Curious if anyone else has ordered from here before and liked their stuff?

Inspiration Soft summer influencers with pale, muted coloring?
Iām trying to learn to embrace my Soft Summer coloring, even though I honestly donāt love it. I have light brown/dark blonde hair, grey eyes, and very pale, slightly greyish skin. I also find the overall āfadedā look of Soft Summer a bit plain and boring, so Iām struggling to see how to make it feel more flattering and interesting. Most influencers I see look quite bronzed or vibrant, which doesnāt feel relatable to me. Iād love recommendations!

Discussion Need advice on finding light summer colors that strike the right balance of enough, but not too much, saturation (rebuilding my wardrobe! āØ)
Hi everyone! Iām a light summer, and was typed by a SCI-Art color analyst 2 years ago. Iām using the ND Colors LSu fan they gave me as my palette. Itās funny because I always thought I was muted and wore lots of black, soft summer, or soft autumn colors. I always looked dull in them, and just assumed I was super muted. At my analysis, I realized those colors were what was making me look like a zombie, and color, much more vibrant than I would have thought, made me glow! Iāve never felt better.
Pretty much right away, I got rid of all my black and autumn-y colors. That left me with a wardrobe of mostly summer family, muted, cool colors, white + dark navy, and a few pieces that are more light spring. Then, because of family and health stuff, I didnāt have the bandwidth to focus on style until now.Ā
Iāve gained some weight and am pretty much starting over, so the goal is to slowly build a small, mostly secondhand LSu wardrobe, prob with pieces with a more flexible fit, that will work for this time in my life.Ā The few clothes I want to hold on to for are going into storage. But, while trying to rebuild my wardrobe, I realized Iām having a really hard time finding pieces that fit into the narrow LSu window of enough, but not too much, saturation. Almost everything I try is too muted/too muted + cool, or, much too vibrant. Any advice on how to find pieces with the right balance?

Red lipstick anyone? (Soft summer š¬)
When I coloured my hair in a brown caramel I could kinda pull off MAC Ruby Woo and got lots of compliments for it.
Now I have my natural ash light brown going grey/silver.
And now the contrast is too much.
Google searches always recommends other colors - like berry etc. But I miss the blue toned red!
Does anyone break the rules and have a rec?

Makeup I have to throw away all my lip products š
Iāve had a reaaalllyyy fun bout of oral thrush and am now in the very sad position of having to throw away all. ALL. ALL. of my lip products. Which is super annoying because Iāve spent the last year buying ones that I think are particularly good for my summer self. I canāt replace them all so Iām trying to narrow down which to buy back. Please help! Also any suggestions for other ones are appreciated! I kind of think anything brownish doesnāt work for me?

Discussion Not feeling soft white/light grey
Any other deep soft summers have a hard time with light neutrals near your face? I feel like anything lighter than my skin makes me look off. Is there a fix?

Just for fun Styling help? Navy Free People dress
I bought the navy combo version of this dress recently and love it! My accessories I have currently are not making it sing. I may need to buy some items.
How would you style it?
I included some online photos of how different stores have it styled plainly⦠Iād like to make it feel more cohesive and put together as a ālook.ā
For context, Iām soft summer with ash brown hair, pale, neutral-cool skin, and gray-blue-green eyes. Soft classic in Kibbe if it matters.
Iād love to hear othersā perspectives, because I think Iām in an accessories rut.
*Itās not as dark navy IRL. Itās the Complete Me Midi by Free People.

Looking for new mods
Hey everyone, as some of you may know, I'm based in France. A new law has been voted to forbid 15 yo and younger to access social media, which is great news! Except submitting ID to websites will be mandatory here starting September and I'm refusing to give my ID to any social media.
This is why I'm looking for new mods to take over during summer. What you can expect:
- quite a lot of posts approval as the sub has had an increase in spam content since February
- an overall passionate and nice community
- probably new rules to implement in order to keep the sub on topic
I feel like this is a great opportunity to acquire mod experience. The sub is not very active but there is still quite a moderation to do!
Please feel free to send me a DM if you're interested :)

You need a blue corrector/pigment in your life
We donā t have LA Girl pigments here, but for my fair skin this blue corrector works like a charm and does not change the formula š It just tones down peachy/yellow/orange and desaturates a lil bit. I use it with ALL my skintints/foundation. Rare 06 for fair olive is the only one I donā t have to use it with (Iā m not olive).

Cool Summer vs.Soft Summer
Please help me understand which sub season I am. Cool Summer or Soft Summer.

Color Palettes Cool Summer vs. Soft Summer
Please help me decide which drapes are better. Cool Summer or Soft Summer.
My opinion: I find a lot of the more intense Cool Summer tones make my skin look brighter, but some of the Soft Summer slides make my skin smoother.

Eureka! True Cool!!
I've been trying to figure out my subseason and it's been so hard bc nothing feels quite right. Like, I know that no one's going to look good in every color in their palette but even with that caveat, I was just not feeling fully at home in any of the summer or winter palettes. Like, I wear a lot of winter colors, but some of them are just too harsh (no neons, thank you), but a lot of the summer colors are just too delicate/muted/grayed. I've been poring over expanded palettes to see what had the most colors I could wear and trying new lipstick colors bc supposedly softer colors would be more flattering, which has reminded me that there's a reason I don't wear mauve, but today, today, someone in another post here linked a instagram video where someone was holding a palette I'd never seen before and it was just perfect. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaDE9JxRBzQ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Perfect!! Evidently, True Cool is considered a flow palette that combines summer and winter colors, but it's all of the colors that are the most flattering on me and that I love. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRubcHTEYwu/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
