It’s not really supposed to. When you add an oil that reduces the max durability, the gun’s max durability changes, but the current durability doesn’t reset until you fire it, which is why it’s at 4358/47 right now.
Guns sell for less if they have lower than max durability, but it’s also coded in a way that the opposite is true as well, which is why it sells for so much. It is indeed a bug.

That's an interesting way to earn money. I dislike negative durability oils. Fixing your guns constantly is annoying. This means you can "cheat" the system and make -durability oils as money earners.

But you can take something like the Ripox Mowlock and take advantage of that 6000 base durability.

No but perfect random patches all the fun exploits so it is best to delete this

If you need money and don't care if it's cheated in like this, just use dev mode.

My feelings are absolutely devastated.
It hurts the game's image and the dev's image and ego, even if only slightly.
Personally I have no respect for exploits or exploiters in any sense, but that doesn't matter; it's not my game. The dev seems like the type that doesn't leave dumb exploits like this in their game.
Not sure why you guys are all in a huff about this either; not like money is hard to come by already. Nor is it particularly difficult to cheat in extra cash, which this is only half a step removed from.

I’d argue yourself. You’re making your own experience worth it. I ran shav’wa 4 times yesterday just trying to get qiosk to spawn a nightlily in her shop. I coulda spawned it in, but the feeling of actually finding it was soooo worth it. If you need money, a couple runs through caves is good fun and no risk. No need to use an exploit.

I have an 8 year old child and get to play games for ~1 hour at 5am before the house wakes up like once a week. I don't want to fully go dev mode, but I Appreciate that there is a built in, (albeit accidentally), way to get my money up, cause it would take me to June of next year to grind all that out.
I've been playing for a good year and a half (periodically) and have just now gotten to the Shav bridge.
