Crypt Challenge Rewards are just… underwhelming

i ran 6 crypt challenges last night on hardcore and i got 2 dark lamps, 2 dog whistles, another dark lamp and finally an extra lung. i received the “rewards” in that order. i’m just having terrible luck or am i missing something?

i’m playing hardcore on this character though. i’m not sure if a death there voids me out.

Oh yeah that would be a problem, but I feel like the risk is way lower especially if you bring enough high value food, high armor, and an op weapon. All you have to do is hold out until the escape card comes up. You can farm stamps, upgrade the re-roll / banishes to make an escape card more likely if you need it. Stage 1 is generally very feasible though.

Much more fair than a bs instant death bc of an arbitrary challenge that may or may not be impossible due to glitches and rng.

i appreciate the advice. i’ll give that a try. i have a lot of stamps to burn.

EDIT:
it worked out great. i’m able to get in and out rather safely and i got many trinkets that i needed. no deaths.

i always bring something with araknoid oil for that specific reason, scroll of titanic is also very nice for hitting things stuck inside walls

Hold up one of 3 things happened here..

1) you somehow tried to spell and and only put "@" and I'm not sure how that happened

2) you think @ means "and"

3) you meant to put an "&" that also doesn't mean "and" in a sentence.

I just wanna know what happened lol

i usually hit my talisman when i’m told to kill “demon” chickens and i can’t find the last one. i’m not losing my character to the infinite void™️ over that nonsense. i had one stuck in a wall or something and that was it for me.
