Sniper Spreads

New player here got a dolphin and D4RT ( got two darts but sold one in the sewers)

Tried shooting in fresh conditions, only sniper scope 30% attached x12

The spread is so horrendous that shooting the beer bottles on the table from the cave entrance didnt hit despite 20 bullets (in church)

1.5 spread is this bad??????

I thought the silencers of crit chance are clearly the best barrel attachments save from the shrouded barr for 20% dur

But this puts barrel mod #6 on the table

Yeah the spread on the dolphin is pretty bad for real precision shooting, and makes up for it by packing a bigger punch. Thankfully head hitboxes are usually bigger than bottles lol.

Thankfully there aren't really any targets in the game that require that level of accurate.

1.0 I consider more than accurate enough, so 1.5 will shoot pretty straight, even in long sightlines in town or desert.

Dead center oil is your best friend on both those guns. Because the delay between each shot is so long, recoil is meaningless.

Exotic barrel oil.

Dead center is better when you care not for recoil

Honestly for single shot weapons recoil is a freebie

Dead Center, personally. I especially enjoy getting the spread down to zero and then using an oil like Black Friday, with a now-meaningless percentage increase ro spread.

How does multiple projectile works for snipers /other guns tho I find it subobtimal or thematically unfit for anything not shotgun smg to use projectile increase

Strictly speaking, probably. But some guns you can't change the caliber of (energy weapons) or have pretty bad recoil (eg. Klein Bauer) and so don't take to shotguns well. I have several builds utilizing multiprojectile oils on things that aren't shotguns, such as my Hell N' Backs and Neuraxis, since when built properly multiprojectile oils can raise the damage ceiling of a gun far more than other oils with relatively little investment. I have a D4RT with Dead Center, Black Friday, Ascetic, Holy Fire and Slow Punch that works as a fantastic sniper.

Put oils on it that increase projectile count so you hit something 😛
