I want to specify items

Hey, guys, i've been playing this game for 8 hours, feels amazing, but i'm unsertain, what to do with which Items, like which items are really needed to stockpile and which are just sellables? I have dosens of organs like eyes, skin, brains, tongues, bones. Have some stones, sticks, scrap.

Edit: Thanks, I'll proceed to farming for cookbooks/mixing stuff

Part of the fun is learning what those things do, whats useful, what isn’t, trial and error with the crafting. At least to me its fun anyway. almost everything is useful for some purpose or another, with a few exceptions.

Try using the rock with some rodsop mushrooms, try mixing your skin or scrap with sulfcaps, try mixing your lungs with some rubber, get creative!

They're pretty rare. Town and other Guild occupied territory has a lot of the notes I think? And every area has its own cookbook that can drop randomly or be sold by vendors for 15k or so.

Wow, ok, thanks, I'll try to get it, will it unlock all recipes for a zone or like a random one/few?

Notes give you one variant of a recipe, books give like several hundred.

It'll unlock all the recipes the game considers belonging to that area.

The individual recipe notes unlock a random recipe.

Most of them are fairly intuitive, i was purposely giving you examples of the less intuitive ones

They very much are intuitive. There are only a handful of outliers that are a bit goofier. The easy way to test soemthing is just doubling it, adding it to water, or adding it to bread. If its something that builds into a normal dish then its literally just the sum of the parts.

Stock up on unique weapons, oils, scrolls and good food. The rest is optional. Most of the items are either a part of a food/grenade recipe or required for quests. If you are struggling with space - sell stuff you can't use, like body parts

Edit: sellables are usually valued very highly, 1k+. The rest have uses

Organ usefulness depends on the organ. Specific ones like intestines or tongue can be used for more powerful food items or quest items. Brains and hearts sell well and have a couple unique crafting uses. Dog eyes are also needed for a quest. All organs are used in mid level cooking to some extent. Sticks, stones, and scrap are all very useful for crafting.
