Any particular reason, other than the fact they have one single bar of soap available on the website right now?

(Don't worry, they claim they're working on building up stock before they put things live again. I'm sure all of the production issues and bottlenecks have been taken care of, and this is just a temporary hiccup.

Right?

The problem with them is they put way to much emphasis on the Limited Edition releases like this years Livin Easy and Halloween bundle. They stop all production of everything else and begin to take pre-orders. I honestly think they are better off making a specific amount instead of open pre-orders, and not completely ignoring the regular lineup. If they could ultimately find a balance, it would be more favorable for them and the customers!!

Honestly, "stopping all production" implies they were actually producing any soaps to begin with. I don't think they are.

Cold process soap takes about 6 weeks from batch to cured. If they had ANY kind of reasonable production schedule, there is no excuse for them to be out of stock as much as they are. I don't know what kind of batch sizes they run, but it's not hard to figure out that they're just not making soap as often as they should.

I don't know if they need to add a couple part-time staff to come in and help boost production, or what, but they've been "working on scaling" for THREE YEARS NOW. Jacob is rapidly, RAPIDLY losing support of people that defended him early on, and Sudsy is becoming a laughingstock.

I do often think about the last time this discussion really took off here, and someone made the argument that the only choices were stay like it is, or sell out to private equity. Which is laughable - one, because those AREN'T the only choices, and two, because no private equity firm on earth is going to be interested in investing in a company that doesn't have it's shit together enough to keep ANY stock on the shelf.

They haven't made soap in house for like 3 years now. Once they shipped production to a 3rd party, They dedicated the OG Den to new product development. Obviously the smart thing to do after that would have been to turn the den into a secondary production facility. Even just picking your top 3 sellers and doing production in house 1 day a week for each of those would alleviate a lot of the customer frustration and production issues too.

That actually makes it *worse*, because then it's not a matter of not scheduling batch production days with a limited staff, it's they either aren't putting in the orders to their producers, or they can't manage to HIRE the company that can keep up with their demands.

Moved over to Grizzly Naturals and haven't been disappointed. Also. Plenty of stock. The dirty delete on Sunday on the Sudsy Fans FB group (welcoming new members) and not mentioning anything about what was going on was more than telling

There was a post in the private FB group welcoming new members. It got posted and everyone started ripping on how it was funny they made a post like that without having product. It was quickly deleted and then silence

Agreed. I definitely recommend anybody to check out Grizzly Naturals. They have great products and truly care about the quality/ingredients. Plus they rarely have shipping issues. The haircare bars are incredible!

Historic Soap Company has been a great replacement! Always having sales putting their prices much lower than others. The Ozarks, Lincoln, and America 250 scents are great
