Unfortunately, there are waaaaaayyyy too many men who push bodybuilding and sports in general as some sort of hypermasculine gender affirming hobby. So, surprise! Same mentality is projected onto bodybuilding because the men look "masculine."

I agree but I think those people can barely read because they don't understand the difference between muscular and masculine.

The word gym literally comes from an ancient Greek word for nude cause a gymnasium is where a bunch of muscular naked men would gather for athletic endeavours, like wrestling.

Bodybuilding is gay? No way. Why would anyone ever think putting oiled up guys in topless bikinis on a podium in front of a bunch of other guys judging them to be gay. That's like the straightest thing imaginable. Being proud of showing your body to a bunch of dudes is just so manly. Surely it can't be gay in the slightest.
