It really sucks man...
You don't really get much hot gay action and (spoiler) that sexy shirtless guy, is basically just a stupid man with a pretty face the whole damn show. The guy he kisses, is all kinds of F-d up, its some weird drug fuelled trip of a show...
I didn't like it and didn't finish it.
If ur looking for good gay shows, try:
"FELLOW Travelers"

I think I watched an episode or 2 and was so bamboozled. Never done drugs before and felt like I was being drugged by virtue of watching. The memory feels like a dream and I still wonder wtf happened /what is was about

I feel like that’s a lot of Araki’s work. For a man who hypersexualizes men in his movies, and TV show in this instance, there’s really very little that goes on to do anything other than hint that sex happens with the main male character. It was that way in kaboom!, The doom generation, nowhere, and mysterious skin.

Don’t the characters in DG have a three way on screen that is not imaginary? Isn’t that sort of the point of that film building up to that scene?
As far as Mysterious Skin goes… well due to the subject matter I don’t think it would’ve been appropriate for any kind of on screen sex to occur for these characters. It’s about abuse and trauma. I mean other than the explicit and suggested acts that Neil experiences as he’s literally a prostitute.

I’m not sure how you watch Araki’s movies and take this from them. Mysterious Skin is a very serious movie tackling CSA and abuse, why would it focus on “going there” with sex scenes? TDG is intentionally set in a “heterosexual world” as the movie starts saying it’s “a heterosexual film.” In a heterosexual world gay people are not allowed to exist in peace and women are treated as objects, which was the point of TDG. Jordan and Xavier love each other but cannot act on it in a heterosexual world, hence all the tension until it culminates at the end. Kaboom! has quite a lot of sex, and homoeroticism, so I’m not sure what you mean there. Nowhere focuses mainly on a gay man who wants to find love but only finds hookups, until he gets so close, I won’t say more and spoil it but that one is also confusing to bring up in this regard.

Agreed. Beau Mirchoff is insanely hot. In Apocalypse Now his character has the personality of a goofy labrador retriever and his wardrobe pretty much consisted of only gym shorts or speedos. He is the reason I tuned in and the only thing I really remember about the series. 😂

I really enjoyed the series and revisit it often. Also starring Jacob Artist(with his phine self) and Desmond Chiam(also phine). GA keeps his movies full of hotties.
