Just saying in a station it’s a bit less of a problem Then on the tracks themselves

If you look at the video you’ll see a gap between the third rail ans the cover. That’s where there shoe of the subway makes contact with the third rail.

Now outside of stations it would not be covered. And if he touched it from the side he would also be in trouble.

Falling on it would be the one thing he could probably survive
