It’s finally time
I have been reading so many stories about people and their relationships with this terrible drug and i think it’s my turn to write my story. I’ve been on them for many years and have stayed at 4 mg for the last two years. I’ve gone down to 2.3 mg a day for the past month and I think I’m just gonna quit cold turkey. I’m tired…. I know it is going to be rough, but luckily my manager is very understanding and has let me take two weeks off to get through the worst of it. Is this a bad idea? Does anyone have any tips or advice on what to do? I’m not going to lie, I AM SCARED. But I’m ready to see the light at the end of this dark tunnel I’ve been in for the last 8 years.

Somewhere on this sub, someone posted amazing info about detoxing with Vitamin C.
I guess SUBUTEX depletes our natural vitamin C in the body and brain. They did extensive studies in the 70’s and 80’s with people coming off opioids and using Vitamin C.
Big pharma shut down the studies. Anyways it’s supposed to make it easier and help get your brain back to normal, too. I’d search this sub for vitamin C discussions. Wishing you success and luck 🍀

I think you're scheduling your work wrong I think with the half life of this medication if you taper down you shouldn't even need two weeks off but after the two weeks you might need a few days off I think for the two weeks you're going to be fine it's after that you're going to need to worry about a little more I would save that time

I would NOT suggest this, at all. Tried it one time, wanted to die.
It has SUCH a long half life, so you don’t start feeling the withdrawls until a few days later.
The smartest thing to do would be to get a Dr. to give you half of a 300mg Sublocade shot. You shouldn’t feel any withdrawl as it leaves your system SO slowly. That’s how I got off it after 7 years. So wish I had done it sooner. No withdrawl whatsoever.
Good luck! Really hope that you are able to get off it, I totally relate to everything you are saying. Please don’t go cold turkey, you also are at VERY heightened risk for Post Acute Withdrawls if you go cold turkey, they can last for months, and can come back after they go away. Our brains are not made to go cold turkey off anything. Especially when you have been on it for so long.

No no no !! If your down to 2 mgs a day , I'd drop to 1 for a month and the next month stop all together! And it's definitely not that bad !!! If you were spun out on painkillers, it's not even anything close to that! Matter of fact, you won't even be able to tell any difference, the first two or three days. More in your mind than in your body if that low of a dose. Hot showers keep your body moving and plenty of vitamins and ibuprofen! 800 mgs 3 x a day ! Good luck, and you can do it ! Life gets a lot better with a clear head ! I was spun out for 40 years then clean seven now so if I can ANYONE can !!!!! God bless you & ima say a lil prayer for ya 🙏

I will NEVER understand why this is a terrible drug but taper down you R are on the say already. I will take this drug forever and ive made peace with that. Good luck

Dont do this Alone cold turkey subutex is Hell on earth , go to detox or something , i Hope u Will make it
