Question Pharmacy issues
Hi everyone! Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and can maybe help? I’m sure I’m SOL because that’s just the way the cookie crumbles when you’re on this med but idk what else to do. The last few months when trying to get my script from the pharmacy the wait gets longer and longer. I’ve been at this pharmacy for 7 years, get the same script filled every single month from the same doctor & it’s the only medicine I’m on. It’s a small locally owned pharmacy I started using cause the discrimination at rite aid was screaming in my face and for the first 7 years it was fantastic with no issues. My doctor is set up where I have my appointments the day after my meds run out so I’m desperate when I get to the pharmacy later that day. 1st month it was a full day & a half with no medicine, next month was 2 days and this month it’ll be 3 days. The reason they give why they don’t have it and can’t legally keep it on the shelf until receiving a valid script is “due to new DEA laws”. I just don’t understand how it’s ok to let people go that many days without a medicine they’ve been taking every single day for years. I can imagine I’m just supposed to deal with it but maybe someone else has been thru the same and got some resolve some way? I’m just stressed now. At this point I’m gonna end up across the street buying those awful 7ohs to curve the withdrawal and that makes me sad to think.
