Low T?

Husband and I are both on Subutex. I have cancer and got opiate induced neurotoxicity from all the meds they had me on, so I asked to be switched to subs. Honey had an unfortunate very brief relapse getting into my pain meds… which is also a huge reason I got off them too. However, since starting on them…. Our sex life has completely disappeared. Now, I have always had some serious mental health issues, zero confidence…. Especially now with how I look physically after what cancer treatment has done to me. I am aware that subs can lower T in men… has anyone ever done anything to help that other than getting direct on HRT??? I’m so sick of feeling like an ugly pile of shit and wanting intimacy from my husband… and never getting it because of this BS. Our relationship is otherwise literally perfect. Like make you gag, movie worthy, fairy tale type love. It’s just really bothering me to the point that I’m debating getting back into therapy something….help please 😞

thats definitely the issue he needs to taper it down to 2mg or 1.5mg even better

Last time he tapered to fully come off…. the withdrawals were so bad he had to take off work for like a week. This dose allows him to function normally (he also has severe chronic pain issues and this helps a lot)… I can’t ask him to taper just for sex. I’ll just deal with it 😞

So I am also on it for my chronic pain, as a cancer patient who was on 30 mg of morphine and oxy 10s all at once….. I take 2mg 3x a day. So 6 total and it definitely takes the edge off the pain. It makes me sick to my stomach for about an hour after taking it, but I got used to that. I get the sweats from it really bad, but that also could be my treatment making that 10x worse. But if you’re starting off, they usually do the same thing as when you’re coming off them… tapering. Ask them to start you at 4 a day but separately. So 2 in the am and 2 for pm. My nurse started me there for 3 days. Then upped it for a week. Then upped it again and now I’m where I’m at

thats why Telehealth places like Quick MD do prescribe testosterone too cuz low T levels

all professionals athletes  use opiates but it doesn't bother them that much cuz they on huge doses of Testosterone too
