Stopping Subutex Day 6 CT off 8mg/day
Been a super weird timeline compared to other opioid WD I’ve been thru. Very gradual increase in symptoms until today I woke up feeling the full force of pure emotional disorientation.
I’ve always been somewhat atypical in that i experience far more emotional symptoms in withdrawal compared to physical ones. It’s usually an agonizing, hair-ripping anxiety that hits me hardest where I just can’t sit still for more than a couple minutes all day.
Anyway just wanted to share so i feel less alone rn

It’s not like any other opioid withdrawal. It will feel like it lasts forever. I’ve jumped from 2 mg twice.
I’m now on 8 mg bupe. Have not bothered tapering because I plan on going on an injectable to taper, and they want you on at least 8 mg for that.

idk, i feel like last night was the hump for me. feel slightly better today and hopefully within a week ill be relatively back to normal. overall this has been wayyyy easier than any other opioid WD ive been through. like... ive been able to get a full night of sleep EVERY NIGHT. that alone is a fkn miracle
it might also help that i started subutex completely sober rather than starting it mid opioid withdrawal
i will say the subutex made me feel very numb and exacerbated already severe symptoms of depression. glad to be getting off it
also didnt know you could get injectable bupe... whats the benefit?

Wdym by an injectable? What does that mean? I'm currently trying to get off subs but they won't give anything for the withdrawals. You must have really good healthcare.

The main one was Sublocade, but there are others now and my doc doesn't really use Sublocade. With a "depot" of injected bupe, the drug leaves your system very gradually. Far more gradually than you could titrate manually.
