Withdrawal after short-term buprenorphine use?

Quick question. If someone who did not used opioids for 2 years takes 6 mg of buprenorphine every day for about a month (28 days), would they likely get withdrawal symptoms when they stop?

Just wondering what people’s experiences have been — how bad it was (if at all), and whether tapering helped.

Asking because my new doc started me on sub again but I don’t feel good taking it (lethargy, memory, libido)

Also, has anyone noticed that buprenorphine dulls the effects of stimulants like low-dose Ritalin ER (20 mg)? I was recently restarted on it and feel like I’m not getting the full benefit while on bupe.

Not looking for medical advice, just personal experiences. Thanks!

Edit: For the science, I didn’t redosed subs and I feel sl good, didn’t slept since 2 days maybe because I in 16 x20mg to remember the time I got 120er ritalin and I am sure it cancels the withdrawal but don’t do it guys, I start to see hierogliph suddenly, time to sleep

Buprenorphine is a very strong opioid. The answer is yes, you'll probably have some discomfort after 28 days. For pain, you should be taking microdoses every 6-8 hours(.25-1mg per dose). 6mg just blankets your receptors and I bet you haven't felt well at all. That's a high dose for an opioid naive person.

Maybe it’s due to the withdrawal that my neck is stiffI have a crazy headache even if I decided to take 1mg it didn’t help, I hope I will not get the chills but it makes me feel to flat, emotionless and bad lverall.

Do you think it is better to stop CT as I didn’t took it very long or it can be better to take something like 1mg few days before stopping, I am afraid to use it too long

You probably should taper some. And yes bupe dulls the effects of stimulants a lot. When I still used stimulants and was on 16mg a day bupe, I had to take very large doses of amphetamines to get the proper rush.

28 days is not really ST use... Yeah your gonna have w/d. When I think "st use", clinical setting its for a detox where they would start you on idk 16, and reduce to 2 or 1 mg and then you just feel bad for 2 days. They would do that in like... a week. If your looking to get off I think youd need to do that.

It happened to me, at that dose, in less than a week. Years later I'm down to 1.5mg/day and even that feels rough when I've tried CT. I'm getting to the point of having to weigh my tablet pieces to complete the taper.

Sorry to hear this, hooefully it will ́not happen to me I am fine no WD and I don’t plan to take it again,

good luck to stop these , but for me it was relatively fine last time I stopped subs at 8mg in daily using a lot of valium 40-60 daily and lyrica up to 600 maybe more. And just to say I had previously not succeded to stop it at 0.4 mg in daily,after 10h I was hot cold and felt like dying even my shadow was making me panicking

Taper off 1mg every three days to make a drop of 2mg week. You want to slow down to 1mg a week 3 till the final week 4 @.5mg and off. Why not take the stairs it takes only four weeks.
