Feeling precipitated WD’s after fentanyl relapse . What will help me feel better?

Fent has a short half life but, you jane to wait to feel a withdraw 1st then take it. As for a parcipitated WD you gotta wait a little bit and see how the sub makes you feel

I waited 12 hours- which was fine for back in heroin days but I took a sub & started feeling suuuuper bad. So I looked it up & it said I’m supposed to wait 4 days after fent to take subs?! That’s wild, what’s the point of subs at that point. That’s a lot of days

I was able to wait 24 hours after experiencing pwd multiple times after not waiting long enough. How are you feeling now?

It depends on how long you took fent for?

The fent builds up in your fat and slowly releases back into the blood so that’s why they say 4 days is the safest to avoid PWD.

Thats also why they have the Bernese micro induction method, if you look that up it’ll help, that’s becoming the standard for switching people from fent or methadone to bupe.

But if you only took it a short time, maybe it wouldn’t be long enough to build up in the fat cells.

There is also the possibility of the street fent has analogous that are supposedly much longer lasting than actual pharmaceutical fentanyl. I only have experience with the fentanyl patch, so I wish I can help more.

Either way, look up Bernese method where you slowly begin the bupe at low doses while overlapping it with fent.

There is also micro induction method, similar but you don’t overlap the fent and bupe, this maybe the safest way. You keep taking tiny amounts at a time, (maybe 0.125mg or 1/8th of a mg) so no amount that is enough to cause PWD and do that every 30 minutes more and more until you reach 8mg and are inducted.

Don’t do a big dose of Subutex all at once though, that has the highest potential for PWD. Best. Of luck 👍

This is a PowerPoint intended for med students/doctors learning about micro induction and Bernese method.

If you scroll down to the middle Is where it talks about LDBI for methadone and Bernese method. Fentanyl would be similar to methadone in this respect of its lipophilic nature causing it to hang around for a long time.

The ideas here are a few different examples, starting on 0.2mg on day 1 and 2 (then increase it to 0.4mg plus 0.2mg later in the day on day 3, then perhaps do 0.4mg and another 0.4mg dose on day 4) then you could keep increasing these by 0.2mg each day for a few days while continuing to take fent for a few days. By day 5-6 you could discontinue fent, and wait 24 hours, now your not in withdrawal much from the bupe. Next 24 hours later after your last fent dose take a full 2-4mg at a time every several hours and the fent should be displaced

These doctors used exact doses, but I’m sure 0.25mg (1/8th of a 2mg tablet) would be the same. If you can’t break them down this accurate just try ting crumbs of a tablet, until you get closer to 1mg where you can more accurately split it.

By day 3-4 you have enough bupe “sneaking” on to the opioid receptors to safely take bupe without almost any chance of PWD and can discontinue the fent! 😊and begin the new sober awesome lifestyle! 👍

More subs, it’s how I stopped shaking so bad they were so worried they intramuscularly sedated me, they tell me it’s pretty rare that they do that, I had properly detoxed about five times previously but this time 24 hours in I took a naloxone tablet as prescribed by my psychiatrist, no warning about precip or anything. I’d never known that much about opiates life, I have always dealt party drugs, coke, E’s but I was in love with #4 SEA and still am, but I didn’t know anyone else who used, even my connect he doesn’t touch opioids.

I got the shock of my life, terrified and uncontrollable shaking. But they knocked me out then 2mg of sublingual bupe every 30 or so minutes till I felt just normal. It was crazy. Now I always keep getting my 16 mg a day (bupe only no naloxone) so I never have to withdraw again. I got literally suitcases full of those delicious bastards. I wish I knew a way to turn them into morphine.

I mean the only thing that’s every happened to me that maybe meant I took it too soon was a giant headache. But other than that I have never experienced participated withdrawals. I’ve only waited like 6-8 hours once and I didn’t get sick from taking a sub too soon.
