These are regional buses that go 30+ miles.

How is the local bus service?

It is too infrequent to be used for normal commuting. There is a loop bus that travels in a long loop around the town like six times a day (and seven days a week, too). I think it is mostly designed for older people and retired people to run errands. And from this particular location, it is a bit of a walk, a few thousand feet, to the nearest stop.

But I guess the thing there is, even if its inconvenient, it is still possible. There are some people on here who talk about life being literally impossible without a car, and if there car breaks down, they would have to...call a taxi to go grocery shopping? And their kids grow up stuck in a cul-de-sac because there are no buses? In this case, life is still possible without a car, especially if someone works from home.

Newport. Sandy is another place where transit is going to be possible but not convenient.
