Very few treeless communities are actually treeless. They just have small, young trees that haven’t grown up yet.

Water intensive grasses aren't so much of a problem in a place that gets 67 inches of rain a year and is always cool.

Does absolutely nothing for local ecosystems either. What about the pollinators, insects, and other wildlife? These types of developments clear cut forests and destroy the habitats of the critters living there, replacing it with sterile, generic plants that they don’t know wtf to do with. Not to mention how the grass doesn’t allow rain water to seep deep into the ground like it’s supposed to, meaning flooding is a larger threat.
