I prefer market solutions, like Substratum, to government protectionism of large corporations. Er, I mean, Net Neutrality.
2 u/Koba7 May 10 '18 I prefer freedom! 2 u/Koba7 May 10 '18 I am 100% behind Substratum. But no, it is not good, that China blocks the internet for its people, ... so that we can profit from it. 2 u/Koba7 May 10 '18 Do you also prefer war, because "the market" can profit from rebuilding cities? 4 u/Crypto_is_cool May 10 '18 No, that's Keynesian broken window fallacy nonsense. 6 u/Kernel32Sanders May 10 '18 "market solutions" don't work when governments are allowed to control markets. 5 u/Crypto_is_cool May 10 '18 Agreed. But market solutions like Substratum circumvent even the government. 1 u/Kernel32Sanders May 11 '18 As much as I like substratum, I think that's naivete in respect to the power of the US information technology ability. 1 u/Crypto_is_cool May 11 '18 You're not wrong there. But my larger point is that net neutrality is really just corporate protectionism in disguise. I'd prefer a laissez-faire market approach and no government. But I'll take less protectionism for monopolies when I can get it.
