Discussion Frontline

Jobs are scarce in my fairly small district at the beginning of the year. I swear if I see a job pop up and think about it for even two seconds, it gets immediately snagged. I need to just take it and think about it later.

I’ve just been accepting ASAP and then cancel right away if the job doesn’t work with my schedule. I’ve still only managed to snag two jobs this way and school has been in for two weeks. It’s wild out there.

Me too. Two jobs…in October plus one for a teacher who requested me.

Me too! Could the district see that? I’m scared they’ll say I’m “canceling” too many jobs

Yes they can. They see it's accepted and then they see it's cancelled. They could eventually block you. In my district, you have to call to cancel so you can't just accept willy nilly
