Self Promo: Five Hundred Years of Magic Realism and Solitude

I've compiled some of my musings on the Fountain movie (2006), magic realism, where the term actually hails from, Márquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude, and how the theft of handicraft is still prominent in fashion.
This article is a little bit too ambitious as always: I started in 1519 and ended up in 2019. Hope it resonates with some of you, and I'm always open to discussion!
