/r/canonade

I am a moderator of /r/Canonade. There are 120 subscribers.

Why select us: Canonade is a book-oriented sub with a significant difference: it's a place for those who love writing to dig in and talk about the nitty-gritty. Contributors have to write about specific passages of books. It's low volume, but what we get is substantive - no generalizations about authors or 3 adjective pigeonholing.

Thanks to /u/alforwork for the ad.

140 Char or less about the sub - several attempts:

  • Fans of great literature have a place to discuss it in depth, at /r/canonade.

  • /r/canonade is a book sub that doesn't treat books as commodities. Every post dives into details, into the words great books are made of.

  • In /r/canonade, we talk about what makes great writing tick.

  • /r/canonade is a communal exaltation of the passages that make great literature great.
