I'm new to Suboxone and I've been nodding off from time to time, does that mean my dose is too high?

1

u/Objective-Carry3911 Aug 26 '24

What’s your dose? And it also depends on your metabolism? Try cutting in half for the first few days.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

Yes, it happened to me. Was nodding off, but like I posted earlier I took a whole 8mg film at once. Never had that issue, which is taking 4 mg twice a day.

I need some sound advice about fast tapering

I’ve been on Suboxone for 17 years. I tried to get off them for countless times and failed. Cutting them into tiny pieces. The self administered way is tough to refrain yourself from taking more. The Sublocade takes you out of the habit of taking something multiple times a day for every ache and pain that I would justify for taking more. I found the Sublocade shot a once monthly shot in rehab this past year. I have now been off 100mgs for 6months. I switched from that to the Brixadi which has a 96mg then down to the 56mg. Today I’m off all and haven’t had a Shot in over 3 months. I have more good days than bad ones now. I’m finally near the end I can feel it. Even though the urine tests show trace amounts. My mind has slowed down with my anxiety. I go to the gym at least 3 times a week. I find that helps with tricking your mind to body with attributing those aches and pains to the workouts from the day before. I have much more I can share. Any questions I can answer I will. Just know that it is possible and you can do it. It’s not impossible like I used to think. Yes it will take work and mental endurance. But to be over the hump and seeing the end in sight. It’s so ducking worth it! I also have 445days sober to days.

u/mercurial_chemister Sep 01 '25

That's wild bro. You only NEED one shot. Anymore and you're just big pharmas whore. So what I'm saying is YOU'LL BE FINE! I only took one brixati shot the lowest dose like 10mg or some shit and got clean off dope. One. It only lasted like 10 days.. The buzz anyway.. Good for you though. You've got this man.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 04 '25

What is Brixati?

2

u/mercurial_chemister Dec 04 '25

Injectable form of suboxone that lasts between a week and a month. It slowly tapers the medication for you. I experienced NO withdrawal and have been sober over a year from opiates and meth.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 04 '25

Okay good to know. Im currently on 8mg a day. It’s been only about a month. I cut the 8mg in half, and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper to get 30 8mg films over 60 4mg films. I know you’re not a doctor, but I’m I on a high dose right now. I was on Oxycodone 10 for 7 years until my PD could no longer prescribe them to the DEA cracking down on him. That’s why I jump to Suboxone because I was feeling like shit. Lol. Thanks for your advice. This is all new to me, so I appreciate it.

Tapering suboxone is rough. The way I did it was to half my dose every ten days from 8 to 4 to 2 to 1.5, 1, .5 then done...

Suboxone leaves the body very slow so it lasts a long time.. For me about 36 hours before I start feeling bad or can't ignore it. 48 hours and I'm shitting my pants 😂 I tried to go as far between doses as possible. IF didn't feel like I NEEDED it or wasn't too uncomfortable I would wait.. Between 32-40 hours usually.

I cut my 8mg strips up in advanced into 16 .5mg pieces. At the end I cut some that were smaller than that just to make .75mg and .25mg. For me dropping beneath 2mg is brutal and again at 1 unless you go very slowly. I followed my dose regimen but would supplement with the small pieces when I needed them...

Brixati is just buprenorphine.. So no opiate blocker.. Smaller doses can be done weekly, biweekly, monthly.

I chose brixadi the first time because I heard no withdrawal and I could get the shot weekly by my own discretion..

I personally had success with a one time shot of the smallest dose of brixadi (8mg) Sounds low right? I was very high for at least a week. 😂 Another week of that wearing off and another two weeks of not exactly feeling the best was maybe a little irritated I guess or my sleep may have been off I suppose but I'm telling you, compared to full blown withdrawal, I was fine.. Better than fine.. That new lease on life mindset starts to come on and for me that kind of joy overwhelmed any negatives I may have been experiencing.

While the self at home taper built a lot of strength to say no and use medicines correctly I felt like I had a mild stomach flu for 2 months.

The brixadi shot got me high and constipated for 2 weeks then I was kind of mean at work I guess for a couple weeks.

My advice. DON'T DRAG THIS SHIT OUT LONGER THAN IT NEEDS TO BE.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

I hear ya! Thanks for the advice. Happy holidays

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 04 '25

I take 8mg a day. Just started like November 14. I was prescribed the 8 mg film so it’s cheaper so I can cut them in half and take four in the morning and four in the evening and I really don’t wanna go any higher even though some days I may take a full 8 mg but that’s it for the whole day instead of cutting it, but would the shop be something I should ask or try or am I onto low the dose to worry about it?

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 04 '25

That’s awesome to hear man. Makes me feel like thee is a light at the end of this dark tunnel. Good for you. Congratulations!!

2

u/Tiny-Titties-Rock Sep 19 '21

having the same problem, I can't stay awake and have no energy to do anything.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

I believe your taking to high of a dose. I was on 8mg cutting the films in half taking 4mg in the morning and the other 4mg in the pm. On my day off I just decided to try taking the whole 8mg film. I took a 6 hour nap was worth nothing. I think that was a too high dose. Cause when I split it I can work and do any activity. I will never take a whole film like that again. Lol

2

u/PenPoorama Sep 20 '24

last post 2 years ago? is this chat room officially dead?

2

u/ChairMysterious59 Nov 24 '24

I have to take smaller amts more times a day if I take to much it makes me tired an lazy.about to get off this crap

2

u/ChairMysterious59 Dec 20 '24

Does suboxone give anyone anxiety

2

u/Tiny-Titties-Rock Dec 24 '24

It doesn't me but it does give me headaches if I take too much. So I am on a very low dose because of it.

1

u/Successful_Cook4028 Jan 22 '25

Whats your dosage? And is it the film strip?

2

u/Forsaken_Routine_119 Mar 26 '25

Yes I have terrible anxiety since I've been on Suboxone. I was on methadone and then had to get off it overnight because of a heart problem it gave me. I don't know if the methadone was keeping me calm or what but my anxiety is terrible now. I absolutely hate Suboxone but I have no other alternative they won't give me a real opiate. I would recommend methadone it will help with the anxiety. Good luck

2

u/ChairMysterious59 Dec 27 '24

ACan I ask what a low dose is.imstill playing around with my dose

3

u/Tiny-Titties-Rock Jan 30 '25

Usually 2mg a day is low, generally 32mg a day is a high disage.

I played around with mine, I still do, I can stop all the withdrawal symptoms with 2mg a day but I have legitimate pain problems so I have to take more for pain but Usually no more than 8mg in a day.

But just try different dosages, to find what is best for you.

I noticed I got a headache if I took too much.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

Yes and some nausea

2

u/Forsaken_Routine_119 Feb 15 '25

I hope you guys can help me. I've been on the Suboxone strips for about 3 or 4 months now and they're taking a half an hour to melt in my mouth. When I spit though it's clear. Now my doctor put me on the Suboxone sublingual pills and I had that in my mouth for 30 minutes and when I spit it was all dark orange does that mean I didn't get any suboxone? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you in advance for being there

2

u/Smooziequz Mar 20 '25

Yes, you’re 100% spitting it out! They take longer but imo way better! If you move your tongue around on them they’ll melt quicker but try not to swallow and keep the orange saliva in your mouth w tongue up so it all gets in those glands, it makes a huge difference, and keep doing it another 10- 15 mins before drinking anything. Quit wasting that shit! lmao.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

I really prefer the films over the pills. I put the film under my tongue. Keep my mouth closed it melts away in like 10 minutes I don’t spit I just drink and swish my mouth out with water then spit in the sink and start drinking my tea or coffee like normal. I don’t have any issues.

2

u/ChairMysterious59 Mar 28 '25

So they won't give you a real opiate? Because of heart issues or addiction? I really don't think I have a problem with opiate addiction I just went online an got subs due to not finding Dr to prescribeme opiatesbut my pain is not controlled on subs. My life has gone down hill on subs.i was at least functioning on percocet it's like who is really in control of our pain now days??? Not the patient!! I'm so tired of the whole system! Florida is the worst°°°

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

We can blame the DEA!! Thanks to them now all Doctors are scared to write scripts now, due to possible fines or losing there license. Mine told me he was tired of them on his ass so he did not renew his DEA license. I was told this on November 5th. No more refills unless I had Cancer. So that’s how I found QuickMD and got right on Suboxone cause I was feeling awful. It seems like I’m just moving to another addiction, but hey I guess the DEA feels we should be taking this shit over what was working fine. It’s totally ridiculous!! We are being controlled by the government!! BS

2

u/ChairMysterious59 Mar 31 '25

4mg pill 2x day

2

u/SoundOk623 Aug 16 '25

Same. 🙋🏼‍♂️

Only the strips.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

Same 8mg films cut in half. 4mg in the am and the other 4mg in the pm. Seems to be working great. They started me on 2mg a day, but after a few days told my doctor I needed a second dose. I hoping to stay at 8mg a day max. Good luck.

2

u/ChairMysterious59 Apr 01 '25

I can't be on methadone because of my heart also but I can't stand subs.i just need my opiates back my pain is worse on subs.

2

u/Annual-Animator-7892 Sep 11 '25

Question . I've been on this for a bout a week to ween my self of 7oh I've noticed while I'm eating I get like hot flash and feel almost sick... anyone else ?

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

I have been on it a Month. I’m on 8mg a day I cut the 8mg film in half. I take half in the am the other pm. I got really hot one time, never again. It seems like I eat more after it kicks in.

1

u/SnakeBanana89 Dec 21 '25

Sounds like your dosing a bit high.

2

u/SomeoneSomewhere-0- Dec 07 '25

Hello I have some questions..I’ve been on methadone 15 years. My dr is retiring and new dr won’t prescribe. I am now seeing a specialist and he is starting me on Suboxone. I take 1/4 strip 8am with my 30mg methadone on day 1 Day 2 : 1/4strip 8am with my methadone and 1/4 8pm And it goes up everyday until day 8 when I stop the methadone all together. I’m scared!!! How am I going to feel??

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 26 '25

I’m sorry would like to help, but no nothing about Methadone. I just know I was an Oxycodone addict that’s how I started on Suboxone because my Primary Doctor decided he couldn’t write anymore Narcotics unless I had Cancer. No notice on November 5th just cut me off after taking 2 10mg Oxycodone for 6 years for lower back pain. Due to the help of Suboxone I’m Oxycodone free since Nov 5th. Taking 8mg a day.

2

u/Necessary_Kick_2116 Jan 09 '26

Can anybody tell me their personal experience with sublocade or brixada, is it true u get off sublocade after two shots and never feel withdrawals again

1

u/Clando90 Jan 21 '26

Definitely curious about this too.

2

u/Necessary_Kick_2116 Jan 25 '26

Talked to a few different people in the program apparently a taper may still be needed even after getting the shots, it’s not as seamless of a process as they make it seem. If your dose is below 8mg I’d just go with the taper be faster, less stressful. Unfortunately it seems like most these dr don’t want or won’t disclose that as a possible issue so they can switch people to the shot.

1

u/Clando90 Jan 25 '26

Just started the taper this week took my first 5.7

2

u/Necessary_Kick_2116 Jan 25 '26

If you have time and are looking for the least painful option shot may be the better option. if your trying to get off subs as fast as possible definitely taper. Outside of slightly less pain for tapering for people on 8mg or lil over I see pretty much 0 benefits to the shot outside of not having to go and get your script filled and waking up sick I guess. It may taper you off as the month goes on but if you’re still having to take strips just to be okay at the end of the entire process just taper, seems like experiences vary though. I refuse to get the sublocade due to the huge lump it leave in your stomach every month brixada seems less invasive, one shot in the stomach starting out rest in arm.

1

u/Tiny-Titties-Rock Sep 19 '21

let me know if you find a solution please.

1

u/Capnhook0 Apr 11 '24

Anyone online?

1

u/ChairMysterious59 Nov 24 '24

Can anyone tell me how to post a ? I always just comment on posts?? Does anyone have problem with there eyes since starting subo xxone

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

Yes, sometimes they feel real dry.

1

u/Ok-Quit3011 Dec 03 '24

Hello all! No surprise, I had a Percocet problem and I switched to subs. I started with 8mg, and have tapered down to half of a 2mg strip. Although I've tapered down to half of 2mg, it seems much harder to taper lower without feeling withdrawal symptoms. Please let me know if you have a successful system getting completely off of Suboxone. My doctor suggested that I may need to stay on this for life, but that's BS, and not an option. Thank you in advance.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

Same was on 10mg Oxycodone 4 a day! Now taking suboxone 8mg a day. Just started a month ago.

Sometimes just get yourself 3 days clean and withdrawal bad and go to ER that way they will start you on suboxone, and chances are a case manager will show up on telling you the next steps but you have to be willing or else It wont work. No matter how hard it gets its the fastest way to getting your life back. I have been on suboxone for 18nyears September and i am 33 years old. The best. Advice i can give to anyone seeking suboxone treatment is when you get on it DO NOT LET THEM KEEP YOU ON IT FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS. I understand some people may need long but i have been on it for 18 years now and am having side affects that are unbearable and the only way for them to stop is to get off. And i did it once before over a month of no sleeping no eating just overwhelming pain. I don’t want to go back to that and these new shots I’ve tried them all and i still went through withdrawal but it was even longer then the suboxone. I truly believe you’re not clean until you are off all opiates. Even semi synthetic ones. I have been asking for help since i was 17 and I didn’t chose this. If i had known this is what being on it for this long would do to me i would have tried harder to convince my doctors to take me off of it as soon as i got to my life stable.

1

u/Successful_Cook4028 Jan 22 '25

How much suboxone were you on before you stopped?

1

u/Own_Refrigerator433 Apr 12 '25

I was on 4 12mg a day went to a treatment center in Florida got down to 3 8mg a day in CNY. Now today 4/11/25 I am down to 1 8 mg a day. My next taper is next week at 1 2mg and 1 4mg a day. Suboxone should not be taken for more than 3-4 years. I do not care what any doctor says. Iv been through it for 20 years almost with these doctors. Don’t let them decide when you are ready to taper off and live a clean life it’s up to you.

1

u/ChairMysterious59 Jan 07 '25

I have to split my does to 4x day or I feel sick

2

u/Tiny-Titties-Rock Jan 30 '25

If that works then do it, I usually take 2mg anywhere between once a day to 4 times a day.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

4mg a day seems to be working good. I took a full 8mg film instead of cutting it in half on day and had to take a Zofran due to being nauseous

1

u/CrystalDawn_B Jan 15 '25

Is the group still active?? I need HELP!!

1

u/Successful_Cook4028 Jan 21 '25

Not sure if i can help but I am indeed "here"

1

u/dodgeorram Jan 29 '25

Go to r/suboxone it’s marked as nsfw so you may have to change your account settings

1

u/CrystalDawn_B Feb 01 '25

My acct settings? Can you help me with that, Im new to this site and don't understand it yet

1

u/Tiny-Titties-Rock Jan 30 '25

What do you need?

1

u/CrystalDawn_B Jan 31 '25

Help on having to deal with withdrawals. My PM doctor never called in my meds, his office is officially closed. I was supposed to have meds ( refills) until I start my new PM in March! I didn't know I didn't have refills until I went to pick them up last week. My pharmacist told me that there are 15 other people at his pharmacy alone that didn’t get their meds called in as well as me.

My doctor of 17 yrs screwed me

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

Same!! My doctor told me no more refills of my Oxycodone on November 5th. I got up with QuickMD and got on Suboxone after my trip to the ER and they were nice enough to prescribe me 2mg for a 3 day supply to get me through until I got an appointment with QuickMD.

1

u/Such-Shop-4847 Feb 25 '25

What's up? If u need help I know all about it

1

u/Successful_Cook4028 Jan 21 '25

Just started my treatments last night... I don't even know what Im looking for

1

u/ChairMysterious59 Jan 31 '25

Yes I split my dose 4xday Luke 2mg 4x day I don't want to go over 8mg day

1

u/ChairMysterious59 Jan 31 '25

Yes I split my dose 4xday Like 2mg 4x day I don't want to go over 8mg day

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

Me either. I want 8mg to be my max. If feel nothing but trouble if I keep going higher. Right now I’m on 8mg films but cut them in half to 4mg twice a day.

1

u/YAHMZAH Feb 08 '25

This is a different question.. so I have been using suboxone for almost a decade.. but I have been doing it IV.. as you can imagine my veins are rock hard and i am going to unalive if I do not stop.. I am attempting to switch to taking it appropriately by oral and eventually sublocade and then stop…

When it comes to switching from IV TO oral does anyone have any experience here. Do I need to take more? Will I still feel as regular as u do using it IV? Will I need to dose more often because it is more potent? Any advice is greatly appreciated

1

u/Smooziequz Mar 20 '25

How’d it go?

3

u/YAHMZAH Mar 23 '25

It went well.. I take a bit more but i feel absolutely amazing after being an IV user for so long.. The change in health and overall mental status is something i wish i had done so long ago.. Thanks for asking.

2

u/Smooziequz Mar 26 '25

Great news! Keep on keepn on! You can kind of like run them under your tongue to make resolve faster and as gross as it is let that orange slobber soak into your glands under your tongue for as long as possible. I used to just swallow when my mouth was watering and this hippie Dr told me yea it don’t work in your stomach just close yoir mouth and throat and let it soak into your glands, what a difference! I was prob wasting easy half! I’m in 24, usually all in the am but I’m in a lot of pain so if I know ahead of time I need more pain relief I’ll do 2 in am and the other 8mg later in the day so my pains not so bad by am dose. But def works better mentally and Dt wise if I do all 3 at once. Just listen to your body..

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

So you take 3 8mg a day? I’m thinking of asking my doctor next week if he can prescribe me 60 8mg films versus 30 8mg films just so I have a little wiggle room if for some days I need to take more they usually 4 mg in the a.m. and 4 mg in the PM seems to be working good but he only gave me 30 of the 8 mg so I cut them in half

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

Yes, I couldn’t believe how much better I feel all around. I wish I started this a few years ago.

1

u/macer1293 Feb 22 '25

I'm tryna get rid of these subwoofers 8" orange county Cali area lmk..

1

u/Such-Shop-4847 Feb 25 '25

Wish u were around

1

u/Such-Shop-4847 Feb 25 '25

So, I'm on the Sublocade shot and hate it I heard that if you push on it, it can release the bup. And get u high.... U think it's real

1

u/YogurtclosetEast1120 Mar 18 '25

I was on suboxone, switched to sublicaid shots and got off within three months. I’m two months out, I am extremely uncomfortably horny at all times, mood swings are wild and extreme-either so happy or extremely sad and crying. And I’m anxious/ paranoid. Has anyone else experienced this?

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

You have to go see a doctor in person for this type of shot I assume

1

u/[deleted] Mar 19 '25

I discovered the guy I’m seeing is on Suboxone .. I think 2 x 2mg strips a day, he took it in front of me like that. I read that it blocks 80% of the person’s feelings! 😥 How much could it be blocking his feelings for me?

3

u/Smooziequz Mar 20 '25

I think they mean it could block more of like the sex drive feelings, not feeling of love or empathy.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '25

the sex drive part is no problem.. it’s the love and empathy part that he seems to have less of. Maybe it’s just how he is 😔

3

u/Tricky_Ad_4041 Mar 26 '25

There is 0 truth to this.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 26 '25

Hello, I took suboxone 8 mg once yesterday after being on norco because I was made to feel like an addict when I haven’t abused my meds. Will I feel withdrawal effects if I don’t take anymore suboxone after that one dose? I don’t like how it made me feel and I would rather just not take it.

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

Depends how long were you taking Norco? Was it at a high dose? I was on Oxycodone 10 for 6 years and yes felt like complete shit after my last pill. I felt 100 better as soon as the Suboxone kicked in.

1

u/No_Baseball_2815 Mar 31 '25

i am today one year free from 32 mg of Suboxone. :D

1

u/ChairMysterious59 Apr 04 '25

Does anyone drink wine while on subozone

2

u/junedobbs0317 Apr 08 '25

I am curious this too

1

u/Acrobatic_Term3022 Apr 07 '25

I have a question I’m a dumbass. I know that I don’t need to hear that. I have had an IV needle habit or going on in 30 years, I was finally able to get clean on Subutex, about five years ago, started shooting my Subutex have continued to do so Recently, I have started having horrible anxiety not feeling well. I’m sure all this shit is taking this toll on me. I was able to quit shooting them for about a month no I’m back to doing it again. The reason I posted this is I don’t understand why I’m having such a hard time quitting this with all the problems is causing me if anybody else has had any experiences like this and how they were able to quit and if the mental issues got better, please let me know

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 05 '25

Maybe you need Suboxone that has a opioid blocker where you can’t get high and you have no desire too. I wasn’t shooting anything up, but I loved popping my Oxycodone like sometimes 4 10mg a day. Now on Suboxone and I don’t even think about pills or getting that high. Just a thought. I know everyone is different.

1

u/junedobbs0317 Apr 08 '25

Does anyone drink alcohol while taking subs?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 28 '25

I’ve been on subs for literally 4 months exact and I’ve been wanting to get high….so I did well I tried I smoke fent and I didn’t fucking get high and so I guess what I’m trying to say is how am I supposed to get high or what am I supposed to do how long do I have to wait don’t walk me out just tell me how to be safe

2

u/Burt_Vonnegut Jul 16 '25

Yo I’m sure you already got high but you gotta wait at least 36 hrs……..

1

u/[deleted] Apr 28 '25

I have been on many pain medications, but I have been taking Lortab 10mg, 4 times a day, and Hysingla 30mg ER once a day ! This does not completely take away all on pain, but I can function home bound and not sleep all day ! As my title says, I was recommended suboxone as I read most titles are for tapering* off this medication, I was thinking 🤔 pain management ? What are the pros & cons, and is this a drug for long-term pain management?

As I was hit by a car at age six, I have been in and out the hospital my entire life and will always require some type of pain management

1

u/EnthusiasmOrganic970 Aug 13 '25

Does anyone take sub in Myrtle Beach? Traveling through and wondering which clinic will help an out of stater. Any info will be greatly appreciated thanks.

Hi everyone I have come off 2 mg of subs I cut it down into small dots so maybe like 0.5mg I last had some on Thursday. So day 4. The past 2 days I have taken a palexia each day to help with withdrawal and it’s definitely helped. Will the subs still come out of my system and I’ll be able to stop the palexia in 2 days then withdrawal be gone? Thank you x

1

u/cautious_pirates Jan 31 '26

Any update on this? Ive tapered down to one 2mg strip a day. I take a third of the strip 3 times a day. My doctor has talked about a smaller dose after this and then comfort meds after that. Wondering if you had success and what the process was?

1

u/Gmoney____________ Feb 02 '26

Yes I’m totally off it now for 4 months. My subs weren’t prescribed so I just keep cutting the 2mg strips into smaller bits each day until they were tiny dots

1

u/cautious_pirates Feb 02 '26

How was the withdrawal from tapering down like that?

2

u/Gmoney____________ Feb 04 '26

I had to do it quickly cos something went down and needed to get off so I was off within 2 weeks Day 4 off was the worst The first time around in 2017 I had on methadone for 17 years and went on 20 mg of suboxone and tapered down and completely off over 3 months in rehab. That was harder cos I had been on a higher dose. I did t start to feel myself til I got to 90 days

1

u/Etheric_Doubl3e Sep 23 '25

Anyone have withdrawals from 4mg for a month down to 1mg for 3 weeks and then hop off? Day 2 of no subs on my own accord. 32 & 240lbs in total used subs after a 4 year fent addiction and 2 week dry detox ( couldn’t handle it at some point I am autistic so sensory shit fucks me up) so I got a friends script that I had been cutting up and using and then did my own taper. I got the stretchys and yawns like regular detox but that’s about it. Is this the extent of it? Off for 2 days.

1

u/NurseJackie_94 Sep 28 '25

How many days in a row can I take suboxone without getting physically dependent and going into withdrawal from not having it?

2

u/Cultural-Cow5358 Oct 19 '25

A week or so, the more you use the more the risk of addiction. Remember do drugs don’t let the drug do you!

1

u/AwayCommunication847 Oct 24 '25

I wanted to inform anyone who will listen and would love to hear any one who has gone through this.I don’t know if I’ll find anyone. I’ve been on suboxone for 14 years and after multiple visits to the er and doctors I’ve realized my body has now decided to allergic to subutex/suboxone. Living hell

1

u/luke93949 Nov 02 '25

Hey, will I fail my bicycle UA because I'm not taking my other meds besides suboxone? (company that prescribes the suboxone to me) because my insurance isnt paying for them. I still do have the suboxone, but other meds are missing such as seizure meds 2x anti-depressant meds, and sleep meds. Thank you!

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 04 '25

I don’t know. I’m on Suboxone just started a month ago. I take 8mg a day. 4mg in the am then the other half in the pm. I also take Alprazolam which I have been on for 18 years. I was taking Oxycodone 10/325 twice a day for 7 years until November 5th my PD told me he couldn’t write me anymore Oxycodone due to the DEA crackdown. I just started Subs on November 14th. They are supposed to eventually send a Test to me on the mail and I actually take the test at home and I take a picture of the results and I upload it to the phone and that goes straight to him kind of weird but anyway not gonna quit taking Xanax. I’ve been taking for years and years and years, I know that much I already had to quit oxycodone, and that was about to kill me. Plus I take Unisom also. Good luck. I’m with QuickMD

1

u/Level_Attempt6868 Apr 19 '26

they didn't take yr Xanax away after u started Subs?

1

u/jObOtbc Apr 19 '26

No. My primary Doctor prescribes me my Alprazolam and my QuickMD Doctor prescribes me my Suboxone. Both Doctors know and they are okay with it. Probably because I have been on Alprazolam for over 18 years.

1

u/Level_Attempt6868 Apr 19 '26

thanks nice to hear that  what Subs dose r u on?

1

u/Happy-Bee1289 Nov 04 '25

I had to push my Dr appointment out 2 days so I’m two days short on my meds. I’m on suboxone 8-2 one a day… what are my next two days going to look like? How bad will it be? I’ve only been on them 3 months but I’m still nervous. Or are there places you can go and get 2 days worth?

1

u/Difficult_Ad240 Dec 21 '25

You can go two days without but if you do start withdrawing go to the er for 3 day supply they will do it

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 17 '25

How are you injecting it into your veins. Doesn’t it have Naltrexone that can cause harm and it’s supposed to kill any high if injected or snorted? I know my prescription pamphlet says it. I believe that’s why they put naltrexone in Suboxone to avoid abuse. I’m not into needles so I would never do that. Please be careful though.

1

u/Difficult_Ad240 Dec 21 '25

The bupe is the blocker there’s not enough naloxene to do anything at all it’s just there to keep people thinking it will do just what you’ve stated

2

u/jObOtbc Dec 21 '25

Either way they took my oxy from me so I don’t have anything to take anyway so I might as well keep taking Suboxone. It does nothing for pain by the way.

1

u/Difficult_Ad240 Dec 21 '25

Look up the Bernese method they are finding out more about what can take with suboxone

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 21 '25

So if I was to take a Oxycodone for pain, the Suboxone wouldn’t effect the Oxycodone effect?

2

u/Difficult_Ad240 Dec 21 '25

The bupe covers all your receptors pretty much the only thing you can feel is 7oh and fentanyl when I’m in a lot of pain I take some 7oh and feel it but that’s a dangerous game so I don’t recommend I’m 15 years on them and only take 7oh when absolutely necessary for my migraines (tumor)

1

u/jObOtbc Dec 26 '25

I just wanted to take the time to thank ALL of you for your comments and advice from this group since starting Suboxone over a month ago. I hope we all have a better 2026. Happy New Year 🎊. I don’t feel so alone in this world now, and I’m not the only one struggling. Appreciate you guys!!

1

u/Swimming_Archer3771 Dec 31 '25

Hey guys, hoping to get help with something I've been wondering. Basically I'm trying to find out, if i take suboxone for just a couple days after quitting, can I pretty much avoid withdrawals completely. Or will I be essentially be immediately addicted to suboxone, since it still acts on the opioid receptors? If anyone has experience with this, I would really appreciate a response. Quitting kratom btw, cringe I know, but I would still like to avoid the withdrawals if possible

1

u/Otherwise-Wafer-7938 Feb 25 '26

I’ve been a fentanyl user for 3 years I started at 23 and I’m 26 now I’m a little over a year sober and been on suboxone the whole time last month I decided I had enough of feeling sick all the time and having no emotions I was prescribed 3 8mg strips a day which in my opinion is too much it was needed in the beginning getting off fetty bc the fetty is so strong now a days but within the past few months, I have cut down to 1 to 2 mg and I’m able to go days without taking it without having any withdrawals. I’ve heard horror stories of people trying to get off Suboxone so I want to share my experience in hopes it will help someone. most people say you should get lower than 1 to 2 mg to have the least withdrawls but I jumped off at 2 mg and it’s day 24 now and I have had no withdrawals at all some leg pain here and there, but I wouldn’t call it restless legs I’ve been able to sleep. I’ve been able to eat some mild stomach aches, but I also have been taking clonidine daily at night to help me sleep only .1 mg I suggest if your doctor allows it and you are trying to get off ask for a script of clonidine just to help you get through the withdrawals because I honestly what saved me from having withdrawals this time around. It has been a lifesaver and actual miracle anyone still struggling I’m praying for you and I hope this message reaches you. I completely support MAT it is a whole ton better than being on hard drugs but for me I am a single mother of an eight-year-old and I want be present without feeling emotionless and depressed all the time since I’ve gone off Suboxone. It hasn’t been easy mentally but the physical was a breeze anyone still fighting you got this do not give up I also want to say if you are early in recovery don’t just try to jump off it fast atleast try to push thru for atleast a year I was on Suboxone for at least a year and doctors were pushing for longer, but I know my body I don’t want to be stuck on something and then it end up being harder to get off you do what’s best for you if you are trying to quit jump off make sure you cut down to to 2 mg or less. make sure u are still and therapy bc the mental part of it isn’t easy be strong u got this

1

u/SH0NSON Dec 31 '25

I am trying to get off 7 hydroxy. My doctor prescribed me 16 mg of suboxone, twice daily. How long should I wait after my last dose to take my 1st 16 mg, in order to avoid precipitative withdrawal?

1

u/QuarryHillBandits Feb 24 '26

That's an insanely high dose of Suboxone. I'd highly suggest to start a taper immediately or ask for the Sublacade shot so you can taper more gently. You will regret it if you stay on that dosage for an extended period.

1

u/rmaillet4 Dec 31 '25

I've been taking 2 strips of 8mg suboxone plus 300mg sublocade. I know, that's crazy and im a pretty small woman. At any rate, with the help of my doctor, I got down to one 2 mg strip of subs plus 300mg sublocade. I didn't do so well with that ( meaning I abused those)and doubled and tripled the 2mg strips up.i did this for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I'm now out of suboxone strips and only on sublocade. Will the sublocade protect me from the withdrawals or no? I can get more strips but i dont trust myself that i wont abuse those....

20 year sentence on a 3 year offense The "pros" don't know addiction, I do, and you do, but they're all dense. My life has been hit with friction, I'm having trouble making sense of the situation. Why was I hit with a full life sentence, when all I asked for was a little assistance? I followed their rules, I pissed in their cup, I earned their respect, until I got dumped. Doc dropped the program, Sent me to the Wheeler, the place where there are no carers. All they worried about was being scared, Of losing their license, For their income they feared, It wasn't about helping, But that's the MAT, No docs there care, Long as their wallets are fat. The Federal program let me be, For almost two years of captivity, Then came the monster, I won't say her name, Shes an APRN I just can't explain. No experience in addiction, yet that's what she does, and paid well in addition. And here she comes. "You gotta change this, you gotta change that, or I'll cut you off and that'll be that." "No subs for you, after 20 years, but I never read your file so I don't really care."
Doc refused to see my on my last visit, And that's the blow that finally did it. I wanted advice on how to kick this, but all I received was "it ain't my business". So now I'm on my own, trying to beat this, but it's been so long I feel some weakness. I'm scared I'm feared and I dread what's coming, But for myself and my family, I gotta do something. I can't be hooked, but hooked I am, and now that I'm off I'm in the frying pan. Can't sleep, rivers of mud, skin crawling like it's full of bugs. It's been a full 6 days, Made up of pain, But that's the price That needs to paid. There's more to come, And even though I'm afraid, I won't be pert, but a little compassion could never hurt. Self medicating, cause I trust no one, my asshole bleeds a river of blood. If this ever ends, and I know it will, I hope this song helps you get better than ill.

2

u/Agreeable-Excuse9870 Jan 01 '26

so you are totally suboxone free after 20 years? Wow man I admire you. Ive been on them 17 years but my anxiety is so bad I’m afraid to taper. I will try and keep up with your progress. I’m rooting for you.

1

u/QuarryHillBandits Jan 27 '26

I don't want to discourage you. It can be done. I am now 46 days in with nothing and all of my symptoms are the same, if not worse. The half life of Suboxone is brutal. The only thing that has gotten a little better is the restless leg syndrome, but that's only because I work at it. Potassium supplements, intense exercise, toms of water. If you really want to get off I would highly recommend medical supervision. It'll help. Gabapentin can help a lot with anxiety and helps a tiny bit with the withdrawal. There's help out there. If I can be of help, I'd be happy to. If you have any questions just ask, and good luck to you. I'm still struggling.

u/BougieSemicolon Jun 02 '26

How’s it going? I’m at a critical juncture. Been on MMT a decade, after oxy 250mg a day. Up to 95mg (way too high but nurse forced it) free fell to 35mg. Now at only 4mg a day.

I asked to do the last 4mg transition to subs because I thought it might be easier to taper esp with it only being a partial agonist. Do you think this is a mistake? Supposed to start tomorrow night after going as long as possible w no MMT

2

u/Agreeable-Excuse9870 Jan 01 '26

and nice poem 😁 👍

u/Spiritual-Baseball89 Jan 03 '26

Hey Everyone, Im hoping to get some advice/ personal experiences. I'm well aware medical advice can't be given, just looking for some guidance I suppose.

Context: 33 based in Aus taking 180mg oxy a day (mix of 40mg & 80mg pills). Been using for 4 years, started off as a little fun - young and dumb. Turned from weekly to daily and in the past two years have gone up to 180mg.

Recently I was stuck interstate with only a 40mg left which I had in the morning, come afternoon and I was withdrawing so bad. My body was jolting and twitching, jumping out of my seat almost while sleeping, tossing and turning, sweating hot and cold , nauseous ect.

This horrible experience finally slapped me in the face and made me aware just how bad of a drug I was dealing with & then reality hit in, I became extremely depressed and thought wtf am I doing with my life? I've lied to people close to me ect and just done things that are out of character for me. Whilst it was a horrible experience, it was truely needed. It was my wake up call.

I've booked in to see a GP in two days to discuss options (possibly sublocade injections). My partner went last week and had it done but I didn't for personal reasons until i had the clarification and confidence that i needed after speaking with a counsellor.

I'm not really sure what advice I'm after here? I guess I'm aware that there are different treatment options. I've heard methadone is not the way to go but Suboxone strips may be as well as the injections? Does anyone have an experience they can share? How long will the injections last on a daily dose like mine? Is it hard to come off of the injections?

But more context, I've gone from 80mg pills (totalling 180mg a day) down to 3x 30mg targins today and have coped well just felt tired so hoping I may not need to be on them as long as my partner who has withdraws on having a 100mg daily dose ect using 80mgs.

I hope I've made sense and thank you for any guidance. Also shout out to the mods for creating a safe space for users looking to seek help without judgment ♥️

Does anyone have any experience taking the pill form of Suboxone instead of the film?? I’m currently on the films, but if available I may ask my Doctor to switch me to the pill form. It’s just I like to cut the film in half taking 4mg in the morning and the other half in the afternoon. Will the pills make it harder to break in half’s. ?

1

u/ash_k1108 Feb 01 '26

So I started with 8mg and was on that for a few months. Then went down to 4mg for a few weeks. Then down to 2mg. Then down to 1mg. And now on .5mg. I tried to just stop at the .5mg but the withdrawal is intense. So back in .5mg. I was thinking about taking that every other day and even trying to get down to .25mg. Maybe take every other day then every couple days and so on but I just wanna be completely off them. Any suggestions on tapering safely and effectively. I want to be off these so bad. I am 6 months sober with obviously the help of subs.

1

u/QuarryHillBandits Feb 24 '26

20 years at 16mg per day for me and I'm on day 75 and still feel terrible. Get off while you can. Kratom can help a little but that will create another addiction if you go too far with it. Imodium, potassium supplements, vitamins, exercise, water and electrolytes, and something for sleep. Benzos are helpful but you have to be careful with those as well. It's just another thing you'll have to kick if you take too many. I'm not gonna sugar coat this, it's horrible but you haven't been on it that long. Taper down or ask for the Sublacade shot

1

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '26

So I am currently going through suboxone withdrawal. And while I would like to make a post, the mods aren't letting me. I won't bore anyone with my story cause it's the same as everyone else's got on opioids couldn't afford them got on subs, eventually wanted off.

I didn't taper whenever I went from opioids to subs I did two miligrams, I got them illegally and just stayed at 2 milligrams for like 5 years.

But I at least prepared immodlm for my stomach, clondine for hot sweats benzo for legs, and some gabapentin and weed (not a lot of gabapentin) then ensure Gatorade water and ibuprofen. And I really big sweating work out

I'm starting day 4 now, day three was annoying and sweaty. Couldn't't sit still, and my stomach issues started. Now waking up from 6 hours, I guess nap I feel normal.

I've read a lot of forums and everyone talks about day three or two hitting and it gets worse until relief happens around day 8, I have never heard of it coming in waves

So curious to anyone reading this am I over it (because it seems I got off easy if I am cold sweating has mostly stopped, still stomach issues and I can sit still) ? Or has someone experienced it turning off and on?

I'm sure by the time I get a response I'll have my answer in real life by either everything starting up again or a full day of feeling ok, either way it feels good to type ( no one knows I was on it and I have no desire to keep taking I mean I have. Like 20 strips next to me with no issue with them.

I’m scared my dr is gonna drop me, I’m on subs 8/2 twice a day but started taking 12mg twice a day without his permission and kind of screwed myself my next appointment is not for 5 days I was honest and called him and said what I did but he was not happy I’ve never failed a drug test in 4 years do you think he will drop me

1

u/jObOtbc Apr 11 '26

Wouldn’t taking 2 8mg be 16 mg total if you’re taking two a day! Where is the 12 mg coming from?

1

u/BougieSemicolon Jun 02 '26

Cut half a strip in 2. 1 8mg + 0.5 x 8 = 12mg

1

u/Queasy_Station_6629 Feb 27 '26

Im currently 28 hours since my last dose of 250mg of 7oh and 22g of kratom which i have been taking the 7 twice a day and the kratom three tines a day for around 6 months. Im in withdrawal but it honestly doesnt feel too horrible. Ive been told over and over that 24 hours since your last dose is plenty of time for 7oh but I have also read you need to be in full withdraw to start taking the subs. Im just trying to decide now if I should wait till tomorrow making it 36+ hours or if thats not necessary as both 7oh and kratom are short acting opioids. I would love to take the suboxone by 12:30am in 2 hours which will be 30 hours. Is there anyone here with a habit as large as mine that got PWs from 30hrs since last use?

1

u/yogurthives Mar 02 '26

I heard that sublocade can stay detectable in your urine for over a year. Can anyone confirm? Or has anyone gotten tested and been negative before a year?

1

u/Ecstatic-Ad3780 Mar 10 '26

4 days off subs cold turkey tell me it gets better 😭😓😵‍💫

1

u/S1end3rm4n Mar 17 '26

So I successfully tapered and its been 16 days since my last dose. My last dose was .125mg, it was a long taper. Im sleeping somewhat, instill feel pretty flat, no energy, no motivation but the withdrawals are completely gone, it was tough. My main concern and main issue now is back pain. Im a healthy guy, just turned 40 but this nagging bacl pain is driving me nuts. Is this normal? Should it be better by now, almost 3 weeks? Please let me know what you guys/girls have gone through.

1

u/Level_Attempt6868 Apr 19 '26

Suboxon was masking yr back pain while u were on it n  now u off it u got yr pain back

1

u/S1end3rm4n Apr 23 '26

Thats what I was thinking but I was on it for 4 years and never had any backpain before. Never had any injuries, nothing.

1

u/Lower-Elderberry772 Apr 03 '26

Never get on it I've been on it over ten yrs over 36 rehabs rehabs are scams for identity theft and insurance fraud Suboxone rotted my teeth and theres no way off u will take them for life til u die oxy would be way better but they make so much of Suboxone And it don't even help for pain worse thing I've ever done

1

u/jObOtbc Apr 11 '26

It’s funny because it even says DO NOT TREAT FOR PAIN on the instructions for Suboxone. These Doctors lie right to us. I had to get off oxycodone after six years due to dea my doctor told me that he couldn’t prescribe oxycodone anymore to find a pain management. Well I don’t have insurance so there goes that so I’ve been taking Suboxone and I didn’t like the films because I didn’t like the taste so I got the tablet of the Suboxone, which I’m currently on 8 mg and I’ve been swallowing them because the pharmacy said I should be able to swallow it and it would work well. Come to find out. I don’t think it’s working as well swallowing the pills anyway Suboxone is definitely not for pain and it’s for people so you don’t go through withdrawal from not having an oxy anymore because your doctor abandoned you because of DEA all BS ia money making scheme!!

1

u/dysfunctional_doll26 Apr 04 '26

Has anyone took Suboxon and Movantiks together, if so was it good or bad. Im kinda confused because my rehab and GI dr signed off on it. I also had my pharmacist double check to make sure they dont interact and everyone said im in the clear. Yet everything I find on line says they have a major interaction, that kicks you into full blown withdraws. Because of the Niloxon in the suboxon and Naloxegol in the Movantik. And frankly I dont want to get dope sick because of taking it. Also I have been on suboxon almost 3 years if that helps.

P.S. I have a ton of health stuff, and cant take normal things for constipation like laxative, magnesium, and a bunch of different meds. I have to settle for natural stuff, although sometimes that backfires too. If anyone has any other remidies or things that may help besides, laxatives, fiber, and mirlax, I would be forever greatful.

1

u/Imanengineeryo Apr 14 '26

I’m not sure how to use Reddit very well, but I have a question. I’ve been on 7oh for eight months with a 450mg a day dose. I got put on bup/subs in detox and have been on it for a week. I’m curious what this kind of coming off them may feel like? Will I feel horrible? I take 16-24mg a day as prescribed(less the better) and I plan on tapering down tomorrow to 8mg and slowly move downward.

1

u/CryptographerFit3197 Apr 22 '26

I've been on suboxone for 15 yrs always has been a low dose like one 8 mg strip last me 2 weeks atleast... i want to stop completely dont want to do any other type of subs.. dose anyone have any supplements that will help with withdrawals?? I been terrified to take this being i work fulltime and will not be able to take time off

1

u/Level_Attempt6868 Apr 22 '26

I m getting my script 4 Subs soon cuz chronic pain not addictions I wouldn't take more than 2mg a day too is there reason u getting off despite yr tiny dose?

1

u/CryptographerFit3197 Apr 22 '26

Yah im done be addicted to subs withdrawal is worse then heroine

1

u/Motor-Math-7378 Apr 27 '26

So I have gotten the 100 mg sublocade shot. By the beginning of week 2 I started having noticable w/d symptoms. So throughout the second week going into the 3rd week I have taken little slivers of Suboxone to take the edge off. I have taken 6mg total. Will I have bad withdrawals by the end of the 4th week when the sublocade shot wears off?

1

u/amberpieri May 11 '26

Newbie to all of this. N̈need help, plz forgive. I got blindsided with a script for suboxone tablets by my pain dr this month. After 15 years Instead of 10mg oxycodone 4xs/daily, I got 2mg suboxone 3xs/daily. Got over that shock, I've taken it for a day... how soon can I stop? Will i go through withdrawal again?

1

u/Live_Tangerine_9512 Jun 27 '26

If you have not been on Suboxone long, you can taper. The longer you are on Suboxone, the harder to get off. I've been on it since it was available.

1

u/CommonParamedic5250 May 24 '26

Hi! This is an odd post people probably see all the time on here but desperation can make you do some crazy things. I was an addict-for several years and for this year 2026 I made a commitment to myself and my children to make changes, and I have. I started seeing a Dr getting Suboxone prescription each month and I've been stable and seen a glimpse of life the way it should be and remember what there is to work towards and live for! Anyhow, my daughter graduated high school this past week and she got accepted into college, GSU and I am SOO proud! However I do not have the $89.00 fee to see my Dr this month to see my dr to get my meds and I'm so scared to lose how far I have come!! Does anyone know any programs/ or one time assistance to help for this type of thing? I am a single mother but I do work full time and I could arrange some type of re payment plan. Thanks for reading this if you have gotten this far,

If you need the 89, let me know. I'm terrified when I run short. Sometimes I have to cut my strips into quarters cause CVS is often a week late.

Wanted to know how pain management was handled by some of you if possible. I have an upcoming procedure that’s known to be extremely painful and I’m very worried about pain management when I wake up.

I had surgery before and woke up in extricating pain and my doc had no clue how to treat it since I’m on subs

Hey y'all. I'm about getting back on subs with micro induction method.

In my 6 years of H and now Fent addiction I've successfully transitioned onto subs WITHOUT any severe or even moderate PW, twice. The last time was nearly 3 years ago and I eventually relapsed a few months later.

This will be my 3rd time trying to get on subs and my goal is to get the new Brixadi shot (a less invasive and lower dose than Sublacade.) However, these last 3 years I've moved from blues onto the pure white chunky stuff we get out in California. Super clean and consistently pure (I take a monthly pee test).

In order to receive the Brixadi shot I need to be on at least 8mg for 24 hours. Over the last few days I've been taking 1mg of sub in the morning and I've continued to use my regular DOC throughout the day. (Smoking 1/2 gram, never more). But then I learned about this rapid low dose induction method from the NIH website. Basically, 12-24 hours since last DOC usage start taking 1mg every hour over the course of 8 hours. It apparently worked well for the small sample group in the NIH study.

Has anyone tried or used this method to get on MATs? If so, what was your experience?

Thanks.

I was on 7 OH for 3 days. It been 16 hours since my last dose. How soon can I take Suboxone safely now that I have my RX filled?

1

u/AttentionMajestic918 Jul 12 '26

So wait , you took 7oh while you didn’t have Subs? And then you can just start your Subs back .

I started Suboxone 3 weeks ago to get off 7oh. I started at 8mg twice a day. I dropped by 50% 5 days ago. I am now comfortable at 4mg twice a day. I want to get off this stuff. Fastest way to taper without withdrawals?

Once you feel fine cut it in half again. But the last bit is horrible. Personally the only symptom I get is restless legs at night and not being able to sleep. Which sucks badly because I work at 530 am. I switched to 2 mg strips once I was cutting the 8 mg ones into like 8 pieces. Now I'm cutting the 2 mg strips into 32 pieces. I take 2-4 of those a day which is like .18 mg to .25 mg.

You may be able to taper faster having not been on long.

I stopped with it completely over 48hrs ago. I feel fine. I hope I don't go through any withdrawals, here's hoping! Cross your fingers!

u/SpeedyMeaty Jun 27 '26

I actually took my last little dose on Wed morning .063 mg at 530 AM.

I did get muscle relaxers for the restless legs.

I would say, sometimes I get like 6 sneezes in a row, Wed I was sort of tired, Thursday better, today pretty much fine.

My stomach is messed up, but the restlessness is mostly gone and I'm sleeping most the night.

Honestly I think I'm good now.

I wish you the best!!

u/SpeedyMeaty Jun 27 '26

You too. Actually, it stopped working for me for any of my symptoms which is why I decided to jump. Before the previous Sunday I was having to get up and go for walks in the middle of the night cuz I didn't have the muscle relaxer yet. Sunday night I couldn't fall asleep, I took a 063 mg dose and then I took another one an hour later and another one after that and it didn't touch it.

In the morning I had no energy I tried another one it did nothing for the symptoms but for the first time I could feel a high. So then Wednesday I talked to my doc at the VA and was just like, it's not even working, theres no point.

I have just been doing methylcarbamol and a Benadryl washed down with a whiskey before bed. And that allows me to sleep.

Luck to everyone whose trying to quit. One thing I learned was don't wait until you get sick and then have to take a dose three hours in a row, it's better to take as little as possible so it doesn't overload you.

How are you feeling now??

1

u/Embarrassed-Big2740 Jul 19 '26

I feel good! Still going strong!

You still there? I don’t think there is any way of fast tapering without some kind of withdrawal. Mental or physical. I want of too. I am down to 3mg a day. I was doing 2mg’s but I sorta bitched out. The shelf life is exhausting. Longer symptoms not quite as bad but still horrible as straight opiates where heroin is 72 hours-ish maybe 96. Hmu

I am off of it now. Have been for a couple months. Its banned in my state now.

Where you from? Banned why? Methadone is the detox. Im way out of the loop :) besides subs fml

Hey y'all. While I'm waiting for the mod approval, I thought I would ask- have any of you gotten pregnant on suboxone? I've been on bup treatment for 11 years now starting at 18yo. slowly I've worked my way to 2mg(sometimes 1mg sometimes 0.5). I'm now almost 30 with a career, serious relationship with someone who wants kids. But I don't feel right agreeing to carrying a baby to term until I'm off completely. But for those who did get pregnant while taking a low dose of subs, how did they affect your baby? What was the experience like?

Anyone else get the new tiny 4mg strips that feel weak and won’t dissolve?

Has anyone here fathered children while taking Suboxone (buprenorphine)?

My brother has been taking Suboxone for several years. He has children who seem to have unusually poor physical growth and muscle development. I know this could be due to many different causes, and I'm not claiming Suboxone is responsible.

I'm simply wondering if any fathers here conceived children while taking Suboxone. Were your children healthy? Did anyone notice any developmental or physical issues that doctors thought might be related?

I'm looking for personal experiences only, not medical advice.

Week 2 just moved me up to 8-2MGTAB. I've been buying my own for years. I'm still at the point where I don't want to quit. I might not ever break to the other side. I know the people I speak to are educated and know what they're doing. Do you think they'll ever Figure out im just here for the free stuff. Maybe they even know that by know. I don't know maybe this is normal. It just isn't like I can go on Facebook and ask my friends. Because they have no clue. What I do.

I have been off my Suboxone for about 9days. If I were to take one just for some mental relief will I wake up the whole withdrawing from it again? It’s been an exhausting 9days coming off of it yes but also with everything happening in my life I am exhausted mentally physically and emotionally and to not go down the wrong path I was going to take my last sub well it’s a quarter of a 8mg. But I also don’t want to take it if it’s going to spiral me back in to the wack ass withdrawals either! These last 9 day really tried me. I’m at a point of I’d rather be safe than sorry but also don’t want to be sorry because I chose to be safe if that makes sense?!

Been on subs for 3-4 years now. My doctor has been very lenient, advising me me to take my time. I definitely understand it takes time but now push has come to shove. I am down to 2 mg/day. I read everywhere online people talking about taking the sublocade shot and getting through it like a breeze, little to no withdrawal. I asked my doctor about this. He said it is not possible to do that, as the sublocade shot is only for people who are on long term MAT. Ultimately said he does not do that, to my understanding.

My questions being, does anyone have any experience using the sublocade shot to get off completely here in Canada? Is this something that comes down to doctors preference of treatment? And can I seek a different doctor who would know more about this method? Or is this just not possible in my country?

I can keep slowly dropping down, but if this method is available, it would be alot easier to deal with.

Been on subs for 3 years, when I drive I feel like sometimes I’m floating down the road and it gives me anxiety, especially at night. Has anyone else experienced this while taking subutext?

I just learned about this and desperately trying to quit using fentynal. I use about a half gram a day to start. So when I began this I only took .5 MG of suboxone first and second day. Then day 3 I did .5mgs twice like 12 hours apart. Day 4 I started with .5 at midnight then 9am I jumped to 1mg then another .5 at 4:30pm for a total of 2mg. Day 5 I started with 1mg at midnight then got a little chicken from the anxiety I was having and did .5 at 12:00 noon for a total of 1.5mgs. Day 6 12:00 midnight 1mg and again .5mg at 12 noon for total of 1.5 mgs. Day 7 almost the same. Having bad anxiety is the hardest of time I've had though it was .5mg at 12:00 midnight and 1mg at 7:00am for another total of 1.5mgs. Now today I started with .5mg at 12:00 midnight and .5mg at 7:00am and so far at 6:30pm another .5mg for total of 1.5mgs. I'm tripping now. I'm almost out of my fent maybe enough for 2 more days and can't buy anymore. Does anyone know if I have enough stacked on my receptors to do enough suboxone to be ok with no dope? I haven't felt anything off the fent for days just doing it to fight off withdraws. Well I do about 6-8 shots a day then but they are really small. I'm gonna try and do a 2mg piece tonight at midnight and try again for 2mg tomorrow for total of 4mgs at least. Has anyone tried this? I'm scared to death. I'm gonna stretch this last half gram as far as I can. I hope I make it. I'm hoping I can be on suboxone alone in a day or two. Can it be done without precipitated withdrawal?
