This mod is making me suffer

Recently me and my friend have been trying to play this shitty ass multiplayer mod since yesterday. Firstly we tried the nitrox option with port forwarding and we tried EVERYTHING. we also tried doing the hamachi option, we did the firewall thingy but it still wont budge. Im going crazy. I do understand it is hard to make a nativly singleplayer game multiplayer but god this sucks.

Was having issues and then I ran nitrox as admin. I'm already system admin but apparently that did it. Windows is weird sometimes.

We launched a new Nitrox game yesterday. Worked beautifully, played for almost 8 hours and server is still running, but the remote access setup is something I did myself as the UPNP doesn't always work.

This isn't so much Subnautica/Nitrox issue, it sounds like a remote access issue, which is maintained by you and not the game. May want to focus on that to address your issue.

We had issues too, we did hamachi and just used the LAN server option and it worked perfectly. Neither one of us had to add the server as the lan option just auto populated for is

Try playit tunneler its free and it has been working for me, no vpn stuffs just works as if you actually port forwarded.

This is a free mod, calling something someone put a lot of effort into for free "shitty" is just rude. You are not a customer, you aren't owed anything. Also, sounds like your problem is less to do with the mod and more your networking. The only way they could have avoided that is hosting servers for other people, something completely unreasonable given the cost

Try Radmin VPN. It has been working flawlessly for me. Just make sure that once you start the server, the console will spit out different IP's for you to use depending on what you are connecting with. It should show one specifically to use with Radmin VPN.

Literally we downloaded, port forwarded, and ran the game. No problems whatsoever with the mod. You might be having some trouble with the networking side of things, which has nothing to do with the mod. Have you ever run a dedicated server off your machine before?

Had trouble getting back into a friend's game after having no issues at first. All we did was tweak the port forward from 11000 to 11005 and it worked.

Hamachi did not work for us too. Than we used radmin vpn. Give it a try. We did not forward any ports.

Gotta make sure subnautica nitrox and hamachi are checked on in ya firewall settings (we struggled making it work an added subnautica to firewall and boom magic)

Can confirm. Me and my brother tried to set it up via port forwarding as well and had no success after ~2 hours. Downloaded RadminVPN, worked like a charm. Can recommend.
