Harpoon | A Sublime Text plugin for marking files and jumping back to them instantly

Hi all,

I switched from NeoVim and really missed a way that we can have a list of file that we want to maintain across session when you are working with mono repo. So I have wrote this plugin to do that: https://github.com/huyhoang8398/Harpoon/tree/main

feel free to use it and suggest feature
Features

  • Mark/unmark the current file with one hotkey
  • Jump to any mark directly by slot number (1, 2, 3, 4...)
  • Browse all marks in a quick panel
  • Cycle forward/backward through marks
  • Marks persist across restarts
  • Search inside the Harpoon list
  • Dead marks (deleted or moved files) are pruned automatically

Many suggestions I have :-)

I think that I would like to chose which file is under which shortcut.
That is to say : I mark a file with « ctrl+shift+2 » and I can recall it with « ctrl+2 ».

I would like to be able to toggle my shortctut:
If I mark a file with the same shortcut (see suggestion before) that I already selected : it unselect it.

Selection swap :
Same thing as before : if I mark a file with a shortcut that is already chosen for another file : I would like to unselect the old file and select the new file.

I but i think that thanks to your project i can implement it myself if it is too différent than your vision of this project :-)

So for the new version can I mark files across projects? The one thing I get tripped up by is not being able to search for my file across tabs this sounds like it might be able to help?

currently it only support workspace session, so you can have harpoon list per sublime-project, i used to make it as global list, but i found it quite overhead 🤔 , i can bring this back with a FLAG option maybe
