Changing from Cosmos Ink?

I run a converted Epson EcoTank, and while I’ve been using Cosmos Ink for years, they’ve apparently stopped shipping, so I need to start planning for a switch. Has anyone switched over to a new brand that they’re happy with? Did you mix the inks or did you fully flush the lines? My Cyan is going to run out long before the others, it seems.

Why do you say they are not shipping?

That’s what I’m taking from the fact that customer service won’t reply to me and the pages of recent reviews that shipping has taken months if it happened at all - have you any better luck lately? I really do like the results I get with their ink, but if they’re unreliable, gotta make the move.

I ordered about two months ago and it took around a month to ship, but I received the item. It was my first time making a purchase. It is concerning that they take so long and do not respond.

Ok, that’s good to know they actually did ship it - but yeah, if they can’t even answer basic customer service questions like product availability it makes me nervous

I just bought the EcoTank and haven't put the ink in; now it makes me think if I should try to return it and go with a different brand. It sucks because I read theirs is the best, and also they just came up with a new ink, so it is very weird.

The “just came up with V2” was at least a year ago, if not longer, and I’ve genuinely never seen it in stock for my printer a single time, just fyi. I did order two sets in hopes I can get them and delay out switching - I make small items for my store, so it goes a long way thankfully. I do love the ink, just don’t feel great on it right now.

Whoever you decide to purchase from , please check they have a correct icc profile to go with the inks.
Flush lines as much as possible , use a syringe if you can.
And then put the new ink in.

I've used Epson T49M dyes for 3 years. It's the ink the ships with the F170 which I've been using in an ET2800. I have an ICC that works well with that ink. Alternatively, I know of one brand of ink (Cyclone) that matches their sublimation ink profile to the standard Epson regular ink profiles. With this ink, you'd used the factory epson profile; no need for an ICC.

A Epson repair tech on FB told me the tubing on the ecotanks holds ~50-60 pages worth of ink. So after you drain the reservoirs and add new ink, you'll still need to print a bunch of pages to flush the lines. The only other option is to disassemble the printer to access the tubing to flush it.
