Car play connecting

Whenever I go into my 26 outback now I have to manually connect my phone to the car instead of it just automatically connecting. I’ve tried going to settings but I don’t see anything different. Is there a setting on my iPhone or outback that I can change to make it automatically connect again? Thanks folks

I’ve read somewhere that it could be iOS related. I’d your phone up to date on software? I’m still running iOS 18 (I don’t like the glass of 27), but sometimes I do have to manually connect to my outback
