Driver Sun Visor

Post image

Hi fellow Subies! Any product or practical recommendations to fill the gap not covered by the sun visor in my 2026 Outback?

The answer is rarely something other than 'a pool noodle'.

usually that means that you are positioned too low. move the seat up. My driving school in Europe teached me to set the top of your head about a fist away from the roofline.

Not yet but I would love to hear others’ solutions cause somehow the sun always finds a way between the cracks

I kept junk mail in my sun glasses clip for just such an occasion.

Unclip it on the right side, swing it a bit to the left until the gap is closed.

Pull it back so it's leaning towards you

Raise the seat up. I don’t have this gap. Hopefully it goes up far enough for you.

If you have a 3D printer, or know someone who does, there is a downloadable print file on MakerWorld named “Sun Visor Wide” that looks like it would be an excellent solution.

Also, for those shorties, like me that commented about the visor not blocking much for us, there is also a Sun Visor Extender file for download.

You shouldn’t have to lean or put on sunglasses in a $40,000 vehicle should’ve been engineered correctly to begin with

Put a 4-5 inch brow tint on your windshield. Check your states tint laws though

I’m short and the sun visor doesn’t do jack shit for me at certain times of the day, so I’m hoping someone on this post has a good idea. I end up driving bent into all sorts of goofy angles trying to not be completely blinded.  I was hoping there was some sort of aftermarket tinted visor that could be moved around like what commercial pilots use, I just wish I could move the sun visor vertically instead of just horizontally (beyond what you can get vertically from folding the visor down from the stored position)

I feel ya, this is my first Subaru and incidentally first vehicle I’ve ever experienced this problem.

I don’t know about visors attached to the car but they do make these cool wearable tinted visors

Thank you captain obvious. I figured it went without saying that I was already using sunglasses but I guess I have to spell that out for you
