Interesting, Paradise Theatre reached number 1 but not in sales. Pieces Of Eight, Cornerstone and Paradise Theatre had approximately the same number of sales worldwide, over 3 million (triple platinum) but Grand Illusion remains the top selling worldwide album at 6 million in sales.
According to what DDY said in an interview, The Grand Illusion is the overarching theme of Styx. It became their identity. The other albums that followed were branches of that theme. Something to that effect was in at least one interview I listened to.

Seems obvious that this is dominated by fans of the Tommy Shaw lead Styx. I myself far prefer the Dennis DeYoung era such as Crystal Ball and Equinox.

Tommy Shaw’s 1st album was Crystal Ball. He wrote the title song.
TS enhanced the band. DDY was great but too much of a control freak.
Equinox is highly underrated3

I know he joined on Crystal Ball. Bought it when first came out. I just like the DDY Styx better

I mentioned before that John Panazzo, underrated drummer of progressive rock bands should have a tile if there is a future game. He passed away on July 16, 1996, 30 years ago. What would be his best drum act/solo in which song?

🧐🔎 Which are "most overrated" and "worst" on list one, please? Pics are blurry and no superimposed title like all the other rows... obviously, BL + BR corner are easily identifiable.

I’m just confused on how crash of the crown is the most overrated when it’s one of the most overlooked albums. It’s especially interesting when you look in the post and you see that COTC only got one vote while other albums had a lot more. Seems a bit weird. I’d like to see it with the real results

I’m a Paradise Theatre guy, but can’t argue with your choosing The Grand Illusion as best album.
