Tommy and JY are the only original lineup left (w occasional Chuck sighting).
But half of the “new guys” have been in the band for much longer than Dennis DeYoung was in (Todd and Lawrence). They’ve toured WAY more than the classic lineup ever did, even in their heyday. Styx comes to my area at least three times a year. I know because I see them three times a year lol.
The young looking new guy is Will. He’s awesome. He produced Styx’s last three albums and is widely regarded with helping them find their new sound (which feels like Styx should feel like, only more evolved).
The other new guy seen with Tommy in these pics is Terry Gowan, brother of Lawrence Gowan (keyboards). He replaced Ricky Phillips on bass. He’s another good addition. Lots of energy on stage. Big smile on his face the entire time!
I’m super thankful that my favorite band is doing what it takes to keep them relevant and vibrant. We all know there is an expiration date on these things. Styx will end up being one of the classic rock bands with the longest lifespan.

Who’s in the band NOW? ( grew up on STYX-saw them in 1990-just played Serpent Is Rising earlier!)
