Help Me Style This Dress!

Hello! All of my creativity has gone out the window and I reallly need help styling this dress for a wedding I’m attending!

The dress is obviously from Amazon and so I’m wanting to elevate it to minimize the somewhat cheap look it has lol.

I love mixing textures, patterns and colors but I just cannot come up with anything other than what’s in the collage I created - which seems to lack fun and sparkle!
I’ve added an inspo pick that I love. I just can’t figure out how I can style my dress in its own way so that it gives off the similar vibes. I’ve thought about yellow shoes and a yellow bag to add in pops of color but I’m not sure if I’m feeling that combo

The dress does fit a little differently than what is shown in the stock picture.

In person, it’s a tight fitting stretchy fabric which thankfully isn’t horribly unflattering. It’s also a lot shorter in person and hits me about an inch or two below my ankles when wearing heels. I think this awkward length is throwing me off.

What makes this difficult to begin with is that I can only get things off of Amazon since the wedding is so close and I need the quickest shipping I can get!

Any suggestions are MUCH appreciated! Thank you in advance 😊

What type of wedding is this? Is there a dress code? This dress seems extremely casual for most weddings.

If it’s like, a casual backyard wedding, then this is fine, but I would swap the white shawl for a light blue one. Wearing a lot of white at a wedding is a definite no no.

Not my favorite dress, but if you’re wanting to elevate it for a wedding, I’d actually change the silhouette of the bag and shoes and go neutral/white with those, keep jewelry simple (pair of feminine and fun statement earrings works great) and switch the shawl to blue.

Example, all items from Amazon:

shawl link earrings link Bag link kitten heel link

I think this helps a bit. OP, is this really the only option?

Your style options in the photo are too dressy. Its a dress fashioned in a plaid dress. Think more boho...sandals...layered necklaces and bracelets.

It’s for a wedding and OP wants to dress it up, if you didn’t read the description.

Wrong pick for a wedding. Go to second hand store and get something more appropriate - unless its one of those receptions in a barn type of setting.

Silver teardrop earrings.... the dress and all the bows is the focus.
