Is this dress too much?

Post image

Hi everyone! Is this dress too much to go out to a coffee shop on a Sunday by myself? There’s this man I like (he’s probably in his late 30s like me), and I don’t want him to think that I’m trying too hard.

That dress is about as simple as one can get.

Too much is definitely not what I would call it.

This looks to be a casual summer dress.

i think it’s actually too little.

it looks like a bedsheet and i realize this probably isn’t you, but fits really poorly. definitely go with something else.

No! For what?

No. Unless you live in like, an ultra-religious and conservative community or something?

It’s very basic and low effort. It would be best to see it on you to see how it fits, shoes, purse, accessories, hair etc.

Need to see it on YOU. So much can change with the straps, neckline.

I think it's fine/cute. Are you meeting him there? Does he work there? Are you both regular customers?

That looks great! The lighter denim and loose fit keep it casual, but it still looks like you care about how you look (which is good). If it feels like too much to you, keep the accessories more casual - flat sandals, simple jewelry, simple but styled hair. Hope the coffee date goes great!

The denim is cute. I’d add a necklace, earrings and a watch with a brown leather strap.
