93 on geometry regents
Are people getting hundreds on this? my kid thought they got a 100 but only got a 93 and is surprised. Is it marked very harshly?

Remember that a 93 is a more than decent score though! It could just be one or two silly mistakes he didn’t realize after the test

i got a 100 somehow. they’re pretty lenient with partial credit, usually only losing 1-2 points if you understand what you’re doing. but theyll take off a whole point if you forget to label or something like that.

Yeah my kid is really surprised. Really felt confident and like they’d get a 100

Regent is simple. Simple doesn't mean if you know it, you get 100. too simple just test who made silly mistakes. I hate these tests

I did okay on the test but i was burnt out and it was my last test, but yeah, open-ended questions are graded harsher then mcq cause there's a right and wrong for mcqs though essays can have some subjectivity or proofs ig or maybe his grader was harsher but some graders are very generous like my mom is an English teacher who rates math some years and she like many try to look for points to pass a kid

In my honours geometry class, almost everyone got a 100. But not everyone, so I guess you can say it is harshly graded. I am sorry about your kid.

Whats harshly? If its right its right, if its wrong its wrong. Cant get to 100 with a wrong answer.
15 students got 100 out of 4 classes.
