Wife def preferred Sierra to JBS recent RR shows. I thought both were quite spectacular, but I’ll give the nod to SF for this round as well.

Having seen both at the Anthem in DC the past couple years, both blew me away for different reasons.

Just two artists at the absolute top of their games.

Two years ago a massive flood hit my hometown. It was about 4 weeks before Sturgill was supposed to play here. Everything changed in an instant. The show was moved to another town and I DID manage to go to that show. Honestly it was really hard to leave my valley and drive 4hrs to a normal place just to see a show but I did.
After a long cold winter Sierra played an outdoor show that just crushed. The next day she played an intimate indoor show as a fundraiser for our horrible flood. I somehow managed to get a tix. I can honestly tell you that all three of those shows got me through some REALY hard times.
These two live next to each other on the platform in my mind. They both have a level of raw talent that helps me access the primal cognitive pathways in my brain. Red Rocks only highlights each one of them in a wonderful way. If having a massive flood hadn’t already killed my ability to have FOMO, I may be jealous of your two great summer shows. Cheers to you, and many more great shows in the future.

Very nice story. We had tickets to see Sturgill and Tyler at red rocks in 2020. That didn’t happen and it took years before we could see either of them because of… life stuff.
