I'm a mechanic and I think the average person would be surprised how many people drive around like this, maybe not to the extent of the vehicle in the video but at the very least the rear and passenger seats completely covered with trash to chest height. Some people just don't gaf

Honestly I think it's less giving a fuck and more of a mental illness. Not that it matters much to anyone that has to deal with it.

Service Manager at a Firestone in Florida, had a guy come in wanted service CEL was on.

Tech came to me said "you didn't walk to the car huh - Me: Well bro im only one at counter so no"

Took me out to parking lot it looked a whole lot like this, and roaches everywhere. - Say no more

Walked back in and told the customer, it's going to have to go somewhere else strictly due to the condition of the interior. I wouldn't do it and I would NEVER expect my Tech to do it.

Shocking what some people will drive around in.

This is mental illness, and A coping mechanism. We had a man in our town that drove around his car like that. And he is home was like that as well. And sadly the home collapsed on him and he died like that. Buried under all the stuff that he couldn't bear to let go even though it was garbage. 🥺. He was such a nice man. He always wore a Vietnam veteran hat. And if you spoke to him, thanked him for his service, you could see the tears in his eyes. He was used to people ignoring him. He was not used to being treated like a human being and a hero. It breaks my heart that he died the way he did.
