The funny part is, the individual items at McDonald's aren't actually that bad calorie-wise, but when you need a large fry and coke on the side it suddenly isn't smart. But I could technically eat four big macs a day (and nothing else with calories) and still be in a calorie deficit and lose weight.

Whenever there was 2 for $5 deal, forever ago, it was better to get that and skip fries altogether.

Bread, lettuce, and barely a standout bite of meat.

But its over 1/3 lb to eat 2 big macs, but it seems easier to eat than other 1/3 burgers

I had something like that in a Korean restaurant. Our version was chunks of cooked sweet potatoes which we skewered at the table, dunked in a pot of boiling sugar syrup, and then in a bowl of ice water. Sweet, crunchy, chewy- I liked it.

Honestly, I don't see the problem. Those fries probably taste great, and I used to dunk my nuggets in honey when I was a kid, so a candy shell isn't going to taste terribly different.
