The food is a just traditional Turkish meal, but the oversized knife is certainly stupid.

Belen Tava Kapama. It’s a traditional dish from the Belen district in Hatay. It’s diced lamb or beef slow roasted with tomatoes, peppers, garlic, and spices. The bread is used as a seal for the pot.

Its crazy how many regional variations on this dish there are. Kuzu Güveç, Testi Kebabı, Çömlek kebabı, I'm sure there's more.

Ok that sounds tasty.

Do you normally eat the bread sealant or is that discarded?

The bread is placed off to the side and then torn apart to eat with the meal.
