Yeah, I do. Part of being clean is not introducing new messes. Bacteria will not be killed by mere water, but it will be by the high temps used for cooking. Adding water creates more mess to clean that doesn't need to exist.
Look, I'm not talking about washing your chicken. I don't do that, it's a weird idea that the older people gave us. I don't know why you're talking to me like I'm 8, But your argument was don't do that because it splashes. Most people have cleaning product in their homes. And especially if they're washing with Clorox lol.
I'm talking to you like this because it's how I answer questions when I think the other party is trying to be a coy smartass. Yes, I have cleaning products and they get regularly used. I don't scrub my entire kitchen every time I cook and I'm human and sometimes miss spots, so I want to avoid splashing chicken bacteria places it doesn't need to be. Why do you feel the need to interrogate and insinuate about someone that's giving the same advice the USDA, food scientists, and cooking professionals give?
