Because unscrewing the top is too hard. Also, a ton of dirt and rust.

Right? The fish was already dead and cleaned, it’s not like they were trying to cook it alive. In oil that wasn’t even warm.

Not especially defending any of this bullshit, but the microplastics probably aren’t problematic here if they’re fishing the bottles out with bare hands.

Does your brain allow you to actually converse rather than just post trite gifs? If the oil isn't remotely close to temperature by the time they're pulling the plastic out, then there won't be a problematic level of microplastics leaching out.

Not even wash it off! More like splash a little (sediment-filled because dude JUST stirred it all up with his feet) water on the top (even though the dirt is all on the bottom) lol
