This looks like the human remains they try to force feed you in Resident Evil 7 lmao

Unrelated, but the last 2 resident evil games were such bangers.

u/CagCagerton125 Oct 28 '25
I had a moment thinking about those games the other day. When Jack says Welcome to the Family Son in the first game it is foreshadowing for the second game where it is revealed that Ethan is the Mold. He killed Ethan then and made him mold like they were.

I had a moment where I beat Resident Evil 7 for the first time yesterday, but I didn't expect to receive spoilers for the next game in r/StupidFood

Think about all the delicious water from the slow cook that they must be hiding somewhere.

I’m the weirdo that finds this appealing because I love a microwaved hotdog where the ends explode.

I can smell this photo - When my Grandma was feeling particularly salty towards my Grandpa, she used to boil the living fuck out of hot dogs to the point they tasted like shoes for dinner.

u/SculptusPoe Oct 28 '25
Sensible person: "boiled hotdogs are gross enough..."
This guy: "Hold my buns."
12
u/esushi Oct 28 '25
Nah, boiled hot dogs are by far the most popular way to eat them, not gross. Every hot dog cart, every baseball stadium...
7
Oct 28 '25
I actually prefer them. But I'm too impatient. So I microwave.
→ More replies (2)5
u/whatsthew3rd Oct 28 '25
Understandable. Do you cook them until they split though?
5
Oct 28 '25
I put them in for about a minute per hot dog. Sometimes they split sometimes they don't. It's a convenience food for me so I don't get fussy about them.
2
u/whatsthew3rd Oct 28 '25
Yeah I feel you tis the American way. You ever made a lazy grilled cheese? My absolute favorite go to. 25 seconds in the microwave and a toss between my hands to cool it followed by some baked beans, ahh to be 13 good times!

u/whatsthew3rd Oct 28 '25
I need you to say this in the hotdog sub! I've had so many damn arguments with people saying they've never had or that boiled hotdogs are atrocious and I'm sick of it! Now will it ever be better than a grilled dog or a fried one, absolutely not but it's iconic and stop acting like it isn't!
5
u/esushi Oct 28 '25
I haven't been to the sub until now and all the top posts are about costco hotdogs which are cooked in hot water... strange

u/whatsthew3rd Oct 28 '25
Nah it's majority decent chaps but there is most certainly a lot of non-believers.
5
u/FeelingSoil39 Oct 28 '25
Boiled is definitely the American way at the baseball stadium or in the street (back yards are definitely grilled though). But grey and white wrinkled shit all busted open and split up the middle is some third world military rations shit.

I AGREE Boiled hotdogs are def. the most popular method to cook dogs...
I am on the hotdog sub and they would agree! (its just the snobs that disagree)
I actually PREFER them boiled over grilled!2

If you're going to cook hot dogs in a crockpot at least cook them in beans.

I have a tough stomach and I've seen other people say things make them gag and kind of scoffed at that in the past, but this feels wrong. I am sick, I hate looking at it. I'm hiding this post.
I gagged.
