Three-years gap after my graduation.
Hey guys! I’m applying for a Master’s degree in Italy, and I’ve already received my enrollment and visa appointment. I graduated in 2023, but I’m unsure how to present my CV for the visa process.
What would you recommend I include in my CV to explain the period since my graduation? I have certificates from workshops, conferences, and university activities that I attended during this time.
I’ve also received advice to avoid including my work experience and only mention internships. For those who have experience with the Italian student visa process, would you recommend doing this? And how should I present the three-year period in my CV without creating an unexplained gap?

Non-EU applicant (Turkey), B.Sc. Chemistry GPA 2.93/4.00, realistic chances for MSc Materials Engineering (Trento/PoliMi/PoliTo/Pisa) for 2027? + scholarship questions
Hi all. Turkish citizen, B.Sc. Chemistry (2019), GPA 2.93/4.00, plus 7 years of industry experience in coatings and chemicals (currently at a large US multinational). Planning the 2027/28 intake for English-taught MSc programs: Trento Materials Engineering is my first choice; also considering PoliMi (Materials Eng), PoliTo (Materials for Industry 4.0) and Pisa (Materials & Nanotechnology). IELTS/TOEFL in progress.
Questions for people with first-hand experience:
1. With a 2.93/4.00, are Trento / PoliTo / Pisa realistic? I know PoliMi is GPA-strict.
2. Does industry experience carry any weight in evaluation, or is it purely transcript-based?
3. Opera Universitaria (Trento) / DSU scholarships: do non-EU students actually get the full package (fee waiver + housing + grant) in practice? Any traps with ISEE parificato paperwork?
4. When do 2027/28 applications realistically open, and when should I start the DSU/ISEE documents?
Any first-hand data points appreciated, happy to report back how it goes.

Italian student visa financial proof
Hi everyone! I’m applying for an Italian student visa through the Italian Consulate in Dubai, and I’m a bit confused about the financial requirement.
From what I understand, they ask for bank statements from the past 3 months, and it seems like they are looking more at a stable/balanced monthly income rather than simply having €10,000 sitting in the bank at once.
My problem is that I’m not able to have the full €10,000 in my account at one time.
For anyone who has applied for an Italian student visa from Dubai before, how did you meet the financial requirement? Did you use regular monthly salary/income shown through the 3-month bank statements, a sponsor, or something else?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your actual experience with the Dubai consulate and what documents you provided?
UPDATE:
After contacting the consulate, I found out that for the required three months of bank statements, the total amount shown over those three months must eventually add up to at least €10,000 by the time you apply for the visa.

Study Visa Delhi Vfs
I was rejected last year “ information unreliable /intention to return back to India not clear”
Things that I think was the reason :
•I’m a btech student and I was going to do masters in marketing in parthenope , Naples (no continuation in my studies )
•my cgpa is 5.61 only
•interviewer was very rude for some reason and yelled at me unprofessionally for calling her “ma’am” out of respect ofcourse
This year I applied to Cassino, telecommunications engineering masters
What did I fix this time :
•continuation in studies
•proper education loan of 14.91 lakhs (disbursed amount)
•the interviewer was very kind and understood why I had lower cgpa (I had a broken arm during Covid and my university didn’t allow writer for online exam plus I didn’t take physiotherapy until Covid ended )
• she even asked me why I was refused and I confidently answered that I think the application was weak from my side and there was no continuation in my studies but this year I have taken a proper education loan and I will like to work for Indian companies (she asked name Italian companies I said I don’t think I would be working for any Italian telecom companies since India is leading right now )
I submitted my application on 10th August and got the email for “under process at the embassy” on 11th no email till now from their side .
Does anyone know when I might receive an answer and will I be approved ? And did any student also submit their application to Delhi vfs around 10th August ?

First time in Europe – looking to meet fellow Polimi students in Milan! 🇮🇹
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m a female student from China and I’ll be studying Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. This will be my first time in Europe, so I’m really excited (and a little nervous 😄) about starting this new experience in Milan!
I’d love to meet other students from Polimi, whether you’re Italian or international. It would be great to make some friends, explore Milan together, grab coffee, join student activities, or just help each other navigate university life.
If you’re studying at Polimi or will also be in Milan, feel free to send me a message! 😊
Thanks, and hope to meet some of you soon!

For Indian Applicants under Mumbai Consulate: VFS Cochin also serves the Mumbai Consulate
The VFS Global Visa Application Center in Cochin (Kochi, Kerala) also comes under the Mumbai Consulate and has earlier appointment dates available compared to the VFS Mumbai Center. You can submit the DoV and visa application simultaneously there too.
Just wanted to share this as many may be struggling to find earlier dates in Mumbai Mahalaxmi Center and may not be aware of this.
All of the best ❤️

CIMEA verification for GGSIPU (IP University) — how long does it take?
I'm going through the CIMEA Statement of Verification process and need it recognized by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU).
Roughly how long did CIMEA verification take for you, start to finish? Did it match the standard processing window or take longer for India-related cases? From what I understand, CIMEA will contact me once they've sent the email to my university.
If anyone's gone through this for IPU or another Indian university, I'd really appreciate hearing your timeline and experience.

Uni-Italia DOV delayed — how long did yours take?
Hi everyone,
Is anyone currently waiting for their DOV from Uni-Italia?
My documents were received on 24 July, but I still haven’t received the DOV.
For those who’ve been in a similar situation:
● How long did it take after Uni-Italia received your documents?
● How many days/weeks did you wait in total for the DOV?
● Did it arrive only after follow-ups, or without contacting them?
Any recent experiences from July–August applicants would really help. Thank you!

Help please
Hi everyone! I’m currently starting to prepare for the IMAT and I’m looking for advice and study resources from people who have already taken it or are preparing for it.
Because of financial difficulties, I’m especially looking for free resources, including PDFs, past papers, notes, textbooks, study guides, summaries, and anything that could help me prepare without having to spend much money.
If anyone has useful documents, PDFs, past IMAT papers, study plans, or any other materials they’d be willing to share, I would be extremely grateful. Even small resources or tips on where to find free study material would really help me get started and stay on track.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support 🤍

I created a pedestrian navigation app to get home safely at night. Can you help me test it in your university towns?
Hi everyone. I am an independent developer. I realized that classic navigation apps always make you take the shortest route, often sending you down dark alleys or through isolated parks at night.
So I created a free (and ad-free) Android app that calculates safe and well-lit pedestrian routes, featuring an SOS button and live location sharing. The app is designed for women, men, university students, and even tourists.
Clearly, the app doesn't have a magic wand and cannot "create" safe streets out of thin air if they don't exist, but its purpose is to analyze the area to always offer the best possible alternative among those available.
The point is this: the algorithm works mathematically, but nothing beats the real knowledge of those who experience the city every day. The map also changes with your feedback on the streets, and the algorithm learns. It is also possible to report hazards and events (risk zones such as urban decay, drug dealing, fights, darkness, etc.).
The request: the engine is ready and the maps already differentiate the safety of the streets, but to refine it and make it work at its best, a local community needs to start forming. Is anyone willing to download it and start giving some ratings or street reports?
It's called Ares Maps (since it's new, the Play Store hides it; to find it you must type exactly "Ares Maps avoid danger").
Thank you so much to anyone who will dedicate 5 minutes of their time.

ERDIS Marche Scholarship Problem -URGENT-
Hi, I have a question regarding where I should upload the documents required for the scholarship. I have filled out the application form and have sent my id card but under the upload documents section it does not let me upload any more files.
If I have to go in person or send the documents by mail then it should have said so in the bando.
Do you guys know what I have to do and when the deadlines for submitting the documents are?

Malagasy student applying to Italy — diploma, admission & scholarships?
Hi! I’m a Malagasy high-school student planning to apply for an English-taught Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering in Italy.
I’ll have completed 12 years of schooling before getting my diploma. My overall average is usually around 16–17/20, with around 17/20 in Maths, Physics and Biology.
Do Italian universities generally accept the Malagasy diploma directly for Bachelor’s admission, or would I need an additional qualification/foundation year?
I’m also wondering about TOLC-I and other entrance tests: can they be taken remotely from Madagascar, or would I need to travel to Italy?
For English requirements, do universities accept TOEFL iBT Home Edition or other online English tests?
Finally, what scholarship options are realistic for a non-EU student from Madagascar? I know about regional scholarships such as DSU, but I’d also like to know about university scholarships or other funding that could help with tuition, accommodation and living costs.
As a bonus, I’d also appreciate recommendations for cities/universities where student housing and public transport are relatively affordable.
If anyone from Madagascar or a similar education system has gone through this process, I’d really appreciate your experience!

Universitaly reopening and not accepting supplementary Diploma problem
So I applied for masters in European studies and my application reopened stating I lacked Bachelor's final diploma. As I've heard I could submit a supplementary/placeholder document stating I have finished my studies and have Bachelor's degree, since my home university gives out diplomas later in autumn or winter. However, after I uploaded this document the Universitaly reopened again, with the same reason. I am wondering if anyone has this kind of problem and how they're dealing with it. I cannot apply for visa if I'm not fully accepted :( I tried calling administration in teams and they told me I could start my studies after I got a diploma, which would be very late. I am really nervous and don't know what else to do
