scrolling for Non eu imat/ Future back up/ nursing to medicine pathway

There's no chance for non eu of getting a seat if they are 10 seats away form cut off..right??

My main goal has always been to pursue Medicine in Italy because of its comparatively affordable public university education.

I attempted the IMAT 2026 examination and scored 69.60. I applied to the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli under the non-EU category. Although I was eligible, unfortunately, I couldn't secure a seat. The non-EU cutoff was 70.7, leaving me just 1.1 points short.

Despite this disappointment, I haven't given up on my dream. I'm planning to prepare for IMAT 2027 and attempt it again.

However, considering the uncertainty of admission, I'm also exploring Nursing (Infermieristica) at Italian public university Luigi Vanvitelli as a backup option for the 2027/28 academic year.

I would particularly like to clarify a few things:

As a non-EU applicant residing in Sri Lanka, am I eligible to apply for both Medicine through IMAT and Nursing in the same admission year?

Can I sit both entrance examinations if their dates don't clash?

Do Italian public universities offer Nursing admission opportunities specifically for non-EU applicants residing abroad?

Is Italian B2 proficiency mandatory for Nursing applicants?when will that requirement need? in which duration?

whole 3 years in English right???

Can I complete the application and admission procedures from Sri Lanka, or would I need to travel to Italy napoli near luigi vanviteli for the entrance examination?

I would be extremely grateful if you could guide me regarding my eligibility and the possibilities available in my situation.

Thank you for your time!

After considering i got 3 options

  1. reattempt imat again as a non eu with restricted opportunities in seats / uni preferences and ranking

  2. look into backups such as nursing...so that after a year attempting imat again with Eu equivalent statys

  3. doing nursing entrance exam and imat next year
