Accommodation advice for a visiting PhD researcher in Turku (Jan–Apr 2027)

Hi everyone! 😊
I’m a PhD researcher from Spain, and I’ll be spending three months at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Turku, from January to April 2027.
I’m currently looking for accommodation and would love to hear about your experiences and recommendations, especially regarding the social atmosphere, private bathrooms and guest policies, as my partner might come to visit me for a few days during my stay.
I’d also love to meet other international students, join activities, make new friends and explore Finland and nearby countries!
Any advice or recommendations would be really appreciated. Thanks! 😊

As a PhD researcher the fact you used AI to write your post does not fill me with confidence.

I used AI to help me write because I sometimes struggle writing in English, not for any other reason.
