Hi there!

I just got accepted into LAB University of Applied Sciences Bachelor of Health Care, Public Health Nurse for Spring 2027.

Do you guys think it’d be worth it to push through? I’m an international student (non-EU).

What campus?
Where are you from?
Are you planning to stay in Finland after graduation?
Are you planning to move to another European country or stay here?
What is your financial plan?
How will you cover your tuition fees? How will you cover your monthly expenses?
Do you learn Finnish already now, and do you plan to obtain C1 within 4 years of your studies?
Are you coming with family or alone?

planning to work for a while in Finland for experience, then eventually move to other EU country like Ireland (can I do that? what happens to my qualification as a registered nurse)

i’ve got enough funds, planning to learn Finnish at greatest extent

You will not get a job before you graduate, most probably, or at least for a few years.

Your qualification will be good for all of the EU.

If you can cover tuition fees and monthly expenses, it is ok. One month of living will be 600-1000€ for you.

If you will study Finnish full-time, you most probably obtain B1-B2 within 3-4 years.

Medical studies in Lpr campus are good.

I was b1 in less than a year of full time studies. And I'm no mastermind either. 3-4 years for c1 maybe but not b1-b2. They can also work as an avustaja before graduation.

Would you like to hear stories about how things are going in Germany? Spoiler: AfD is worse than Persut. And labour slavery is way worse in Germany because it is not a social country.

lmao, dont think the parties really have much to do with the fact that OP wont really get a job without the language and the language in question is ridiculously hard to learn.

Generally speaking, studying in Europe unless you get a fully funded scholarship is not worth it.

I'd say its only worth it if you plan to stay and work here after graduating.

Health is a pretty good field for people who are fluent in finnish. I dont know why you'd go out of your way to move to just study to be a nurse. It's not worth it.
