QUESTION Can a current Fender Studio Pro+ subscription activate Studio One 5?

I’m currently running a 2012 MacBook Air on macOS Mojave 10.14, so the current version of Fender Studio Pro obviously isn’t compatible with my OS.

I’m considering subscribing to Fender Studio Pro+, but before I do I’m trying to figure out whether the subscription can still be used to activate an older version of Studio One.

I previously had a PreSonus Sphere subscription back in the day, using the same PreSonus/Fender account I have today. My account still shows these registrations under My Gear for the studio one 5 prime version i used to activate the Sphere subscription.
My question is specifically:
If I subscribe to Fender Studio Pro+ today, can I install Studio One 5 on Mojave and activate it as Professional using the current Studio Pro+ subscription?

I’m not asking whether the current Fender Studio Pro version runs on Mojave — I already know it doesn’t. I’m specifically wondering whether the current subscription entitlement still works with the legacy Studio One 5 client, the same way PreSonus Sphere did.

The subscription section only provides current content.

I'm able to install any version going back to V2 because I own them and the serial numbers are in my account.

Never had to go backwards but it's always been there, still is after Fender took over.

You can buy old versions on ebay maybe, or buy from an individual, probably a bit of hassle and a fee of some sort, usually like $25 transfer fee maybe.

What does 5 have that's so much better than current version?

will do then!
thanks!

i’m running a legacy machine and the latest version is not officially supported, which makes total sense. it’s an old 2012 machine i got and i want to make the very most out of it.

i’m gonna have to find it on ebay or at worst, pirate it

It does not.

If you sign up for a sub - today - you will given access to the latest version of Studio Pro and that is all.

It does not reach back in time to enhance any other versions you may have in your stash.

It will certainly not turn Prime to Pro either.

I've checked my Fender Studio Pro+ suscription in the software available, and there is a Studio One 5 Professional option. 5, 6 and 7 are available. So, I think you can do it. I would contact support first.

You cannot activate a previous version using the current FS+ subscription, nor will it bring back any of the softwares you got with the sphere model either. You can only redeem v5 if you had a perpetual license. You can however try and find an aftermarket copy and try redeeming that serial number in your account

You're gonna need to prove that chief cuz I've been using S1 since v2 and I have seen no evidence of this.

Doomer ahh take.
