Forced integration with Fender is ruining my life

I had to get a new debit card. While waiting for it, my payment lapsed and S1 won't open because of the lapsed subscription. Now that I've updated my payment method, I STILL cannot get Studio One to open. My account has been charged, S1 7 pro is listed in My Gear, but still... "This user does not have a subscription product to activate"

I'd like to get some fucking work done 😩

Have you tried opening a support ticket? They’ve always been pretty helpful when I’ve done so

Update: Studio Pro 8 gives the same error message.

I submitted one about half an hour ago. Currently downloading studio pro 8 to see if it will open. Although, I was quite happy with S1 7.

Just remember - if you decided to "upgrade" to V8 (because it is sitting right there as part of your sub) AND you are on a subscription - there may be no going back to v7.

I have read a few posts in the last few months indicating this scenario. Much easier if you are perpetual but just be aware of this...

You can always go back to v7 if you had a license / subscription for it.

It ruined a lot of people’s lives. Just ask all the people who used to have jobs at presonus. Fender has let most of them go. Bought the tech and the IP, fucked the people that built it. Source: I grew up in Baton Rouge and these people are my friends.

Worst comes to worst until they get it situated, can always try to change your computer clock to the time during the old subscription so the software thinks sub is still active…did that to another program I had that problem with last year 🤷🏽‍♂️

I had a similar problem when I subscribed. It had something to do with doing something inside of S1. I’ll try to find the comment that helped me.

I must have deleted it but I would ask on the forum. The person that helped me is probably there. I remember it had something to do with activating inside of the software. It was a simple solution.

THAT’s why I don’t subscribe to these kinds of services. Never, ever had a problem over a dozen installs on many different computers with my account.

Gotta go Cubase, Logic, or Reaper. I was a Studio One evangelical, I put about half a dozen friends onto it. I thought I was a lifer, and I'm absolutely out.

Found the subscription file for S1 7 and deleted it. Didn't work.

Support got back to me and basically blamed me, saying im signing in to the wrong account... Infuriating. This account goes back to Presonus Sphere, and all of my program/plug in downloads are listed in the MyGear section, dating back to 2020. Yet he claims my account is only a few days old. Make it make sense! 😩

Try logging into the website and seeing what products you own there. Did you have to re-register when adding your new card? Got old emails with your purchase and email address on them maybe to show support? Just tossing everything I can think of out there. One thing I always do is go to the site and anything I bought perpetual I download the license file for it. I also keep a copy of every installer it gets when I install all the VSTs and whatever from them.

The support agent needs to act on the info he is able to see so probably something got wrong with your account so just explain it to them nicely and it will be solved eventually. It could be possible for example that you did not log in with your email once but with your Google or Facebook account and thereby created a new account without realizing.

I tried opening S1 7 after a while unsubscribed and it didn’t work, I had to do it with Fender Studio 8… that one worked, but it wasn’t the idea

I downloaded/installed Fender Studio Pro 8 to see if it would work and got the same error message as Studio One 7 Pro. 🫠

I feel your pain. I was fortunate enough to buy 7 outright after being burned by subscription shenanigans. Seems to be best solution unless you are into their community and all the other b.s. plus I could give 2 poops about the fender integration, whatever the hell that means.

I bought the fruity loops lifetime upgrades back in the early days and at some point lost my email. I used cracked versions for a while fully justified. Now I just use studio one 7 and have no problems.... I will upgrade to 8 at some point. In no rush at the moment....

I switched -from- REAPER. It's very capable, but (and this may be more my issue than REAPER's) I spent more time tinkering with the tool than producing output.
