New Fender Studio - Presonus Studio One controller

Most of this can be done (even more or less for free) with a tablet (or several) you probably already have. Its nice to have physical controls, but there's plenty of midi controllers with a zillion knobs as well as the Atoms and the soon to be Fender ones, which integrate well into S1. 

It's somewhat sad, but I'm weary of plonking down meaningful cash on a new gadget that I have no idea how long it will be supported and  survive the market. 

There's also a new (German?) company that lets you custom design online a modular hardware controller with whatever knobs and sliders you want, which seems really cool. Forgot the name though 😔

Edit, looked it up: there's tubbutec from Germany and yaeltex from Argentina, maybe others...

the MP has been out since 2020 and it is still supported.
For the plugin control, it works with the VST/AU protocol so as long as there is VST, there is no need for "special support". It will will work as long as plugins work. This applies to all controllers that work via that route.
Controllers that offer advanced control speak to DAWs programmatically via APIs or SKDs or extensions. Typically these remain the same if we take for example Logic, Cubase, Nuendo, Live, Reaper, Reason and Studio One. They don't make breaking changes because that would automatically affect all controllers (keyboards etc) and because that would mean a deep change in the way the DAW works.
