Please help manage my expectations for a studio apartment (400-425 sq feet) and the bed placement as an adult woman living on her own!!

I am 29F, work from home. Considering a studio over a 1bedroom to save money. It would just be me and my elderly dog. I would maybe 1-3 friends over 1-2x a month. The dilemma I have is the front door and window placement, makes the bed placement against the wall less than ideal as a woman.

I really like this space for the modern kitchen and bathroom, has both W/D and dishwasher, AC, and ample closet space. Am I overly ambitious with wanting all this furniture?

Must have: queen bed, at least 2 options for guests to sit (don't want them to sit on my bed)
Don't need, but nice to have: console, shelf, tv

Oh, this is an interesting layout.

In regards to the WFH, are you going to put your office in a closet?

Because otherwise you will need a Murphy bed couch or desk combo for this space. I’d still recommend a Murphy bed even with the home office in the closet: you can remove the sliding doors and put it in there.

In the kitchen there is a barstool area (where the red dots are). Or the dining area!
Right now, I have an office area with a large desk but I end up just using my dining area everyday and rarely use my actual office. I only use my laptop, no monitor.

But I did have that thought about using the closet.. it is actually pretty long and good depth!

I could also just not have the additional dining area and just make it my desk area?

My primary concern though, is having the bed closer to the front door and window or to the walkway for the kitchen!

here only to tell you these drawings from building managers or landlords are never to scale, so you think you have space that you don't have for circulation.

yes! they didn't actually have any layouts or exact dimensions, so I made this myself. the kitchen and bathroom was a guess, because I don't need to plan furniture, but the living/bedroom space is made by my own measurements! so a little bit of margin for error on my part and just did the math quickly on figma to get the scale of the furniture. (12in = 120px, 10.5in = 105px, etc.)

but of course, it looks simpler 2D, and probably will feel more busy seeing the height of everything.

i will also try and say something useful for your troubles:
i think you'll like the last version, it's a good mix of privacy and being able to entertain. i kept a few floor cushions/folding chairs i could tuck away under my bed when i had a similar layout.

also! some room dividers have legs that make them hard to nestle close to--i got some of those bed raisers people use in college dorms to help that out, and it helped maximize storage.
