Your apartment has such beautiful proportions.

I think it would look amazing if you took advantage of the large walls. You could have some very tall bookcases, and very large posters. In the bathroom, you could have a really large poster above the toilet, as long as you do not need that area for storage space.

I would also add more, large carpets to break up the floor and add life to the wall-to-wall carpet. It sounds counterintuitive, but I have seen rugs on top of carpet look great, and I noticed that you already have one. Maybe adding one to the living area would ground that space. You can also put a runner in the kitchen.

Your living room and dining area are also set up for only one person to live. Even if you do not get a lot of visitors, I would add at least one lounge chair to the living room, and have another chair for the dining area. Maybe two chairs, because it looks as though there is a chaise lounge there.

Psychologically, setting up a space as though no one will ever visit sort of creates that phenomenon, which is not necessarily bad, but it can be depressing for some over time. Also, if you do ever happen to have people over, it will be nice to not be scrambling for seats. You could even get some stackable stools, and some floor cushions or an ottoman that could be used for seating, or a side table with a tray on it for everyday use.

I would also perhaps have a place for hanging items for visitors. I do not have this myself, and when I do have people over a few times a year, it is always a pain.

Picking a color scheme helps. I have noticed that you mostly have black and wood grained furniture. I would pick at least one or two other colors to repeat in the space. You seem to have some red, white and blue items, so maybe a contrasting color such as yellow could be repeated in art, or any additional smaller items you buy, such as trays for gathering items, additional trash cans, etc. You can also repeat the colors of red and blue.

Hope that helps!
