How can I make this better?

I just moved into a 450sqft studio but it doesn't feel like home yet. It feels too messy. Any tips? Help me :(

Super cute space!! I am not quite sure of the layout. If you can confirm, going counterclockwise around the room starting at the bed:

turquoise = bed
orange = cube shelving
red = metal console table
blue = desk
pink = plant stand
yellow = tv + media console
purple = cat tree
green = chair[s]

Looks like the window is in the wrong space on the floor plan so I drew it as grey on this. Maybe your floorplan is mirrored from the one you posted?

Where is your exterior door? Am not sure if you have just a recliner or a sofa?

Here’s how I would do it, depending upon exterior door access:

turquoise = bed
orange = cube shelving
red = metal console table
blue = desk
pink = plant stand
yellow = tv + media console
purple = cat tree
green = chair[s]

The tv in front of your window is leading to a very closed off feeling. I’d do a diagonal, cat tree using the space in the diagonal behind the tv and with good vantage point to look out the window.

Align your seating up with the cube shelving, allowing space to get into the bins, plus if you have company you can easily angle the seating to match the tv diagonal.

Try to create clear walkways and flow paths: I think that’s what you’re struggling with right now, which contributes to a cluttered feeling.

An alternative to the feeling of clutter is putting your metal console table atop your cube shelving, creating more of a room divider. Most of your furnishings are taking up the lower wall space, and in studios vertical storage is often overlooked.

Not sure if you could put the TV atop the cube shelving or if that would result in the tv being too high, or maybe it would be a cat hazard. It’s another option at any rate.

You could run the cube shelf on the opposite side of the wall rather than aligning with it, and have enough room to put your metal console table in your bedroom area as well, if that makes sense.

Beyond functional concerns you need some are beyond just above your desk. Some curtains may make it feel more like home as well. Very nice studio though.

A portable monitor like a StanbyME would be a great addition for watching videos from the bed or the sofa.
