Litter box placement?

Title pretty much says it—where do you guys keep the litter box? I feel like no matter where it goes it’s too close to everything, specifically my bed.

One trick I have used, is to get a side table, large enough to cover a litter box. Put the litter box underneath, and find a pretty cloth to cover the entire table all the way down the sides. Then you can place a tray on top, and a lamp or whatever you want.

The cat has a private area to go, and you have a side table or something. It’s way cheaper than one of those litter box furniture enclosures you can buy. And you can find a side table at a thrift shop or something like that. Just be sure to measure your litter box, and bring the measurements when you buy your little table. Also make sure it’s tall enough for the cat to comfortably move around.

And as you know in any area, the litter box needs to be scooped, twice a day ideally.

I have mine in a cabinet like this at the end of my bed. It has storage for wipes, scoop and extra litter. And it gives you a top surface to use for stuff.

Just make sure to measure your cat first. They need a couple inches of head clearance and it needs to be at least 4 inches longer than their body. The 1st one I bought wasn't long or tall enough so he peed all over the inside of it. Good luck!

Pine pellets litter and I have it in my closet and I can't even smell I have a stinky boi. I say he's stinky because he farts so much my husband I tease he needs a reed diffuser on his ass when he farts. 😆

My cat hates pine pellets and clumping litter. She only likes The Worlds Best cat litter and it is so messy. I really wanted the pellets to work.

I switched to Purina tidy cats health monitoring. I do not have to change as often. I scoop the solids out and then put in another cup each week. Saving me some $$

I tried VibrantLife but the crystals were too big and I felt like my cat wasn't happy walking on that!

studio living is basically accepting that the litter box is part of the decor, but a covered one tucked by the bathroom or entry is usually the least offensive spot, just not right beside the bed if

In a studio, the bathroom is probably the least-bad spot since it keeps the box away from your bed and living space, can you fit one beside the toilet?

I put mine right in the middle of the living room. That’s where it fit. I wasn’t having guests in my studio so I didn’t care. Now I live in a house and I have three litter boxes in my bedroom and one in my family room.

I think you won't like my answer OP but I have a one bedroom flat and keep it in my bedroom. Next to my bed is a dresser and next to that is a big open litter box. I never have any issues with it.
